...the album given to me by a friend who bought it and didn't like it, so I got it for free. Yay me! I hope he was happy with the Longpigs album I gave him in return.

...made me realize how special this band truly was, and really inspired me as a musician. I will never forget the first I put the disc in player and I heard the opening of "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart". This album was also the topic in one of the first conversations my wife and I ever had when we met 5 years ago.

Made me feel alive and made sense of the world around me and how much really happens in the spaces between what you see happening -- make sense?

I also feel like someone has something wrong with them if they can't "get" or don't "understand" YHF. It is epic. It is experimental. It is original. It is timeless. It may very well be the artistic peak of this wonderful band.

......drew me in literally from the first musical notes.

......made me become a Wilco fanatic after being an REM fanatic for 15 years.

......restored my faith in rock and roll.

......introduced me to Jesus, etc., my favorite song since So. Central Rain.

got it in 2002, but it took me until 2004 to come fully around to it and fall in love with it (and the band). now, it's one of my favorite albums and Wilco is probably my secnod favorite musical artist. after all this time, the only thing that has changed is that i really don't like "Heavy Metal Drummer." :boff every other songs stirs my soul, but that one does nothing for me...

Oh phish, I think you are missing out. Remember this was when Glenn first joined the band,

so I always think of this as Jeff's homage to Glenn, even if it was written before he joined or by

someone else.

Being a huge fan I have tried many times to get with it. It even reminds me of growing up. I am around the age of Jeff, so I feel I can relate to where he is coming from with the lyrics, I just don't like the tune and it is always an excuse to go the bathroom when its played live. With that being said my daughter has always loved it.

was a demarkation point between my pal Dancin' Joe and myself over Wilco...

He was really tied in...He got me a copy in the early part of August. (The CD was (mis)titled Yankee Foxtrot Hotel...

He described it as more of 'that Tweedy and Bennet noise stuff' and I heard it as being sublime.
