kayslaw
"Best audience of the tour by far." - Jeff TweedyAwsome show. I haven't seen the band since 1998 and they have gotten better with age.
SoulardBee
It was a great show. Humdity level high, interest level high. I thought Wilco give some nice props to the Blue Note and what they have meant to Wilco and Jeff Tweedy's past. Also enjoyed Jeff's props to all from Belleville and the acknowledgement that his Dad and his entourage were at the show. Anyone have a setlist that is ready. Loved Casino Queen in the second encore. watchtower41
Setlist would be great. Great that theyre still bumping Casino Queen
PotKettleTug
Holy freaking crap!!! what a night. Got to meet Jeff and Nels after the show. Couldn't ask for a better time.
H to the ickle
They played Casino Queen, Pot Kettle Black, Outtasite, Too Far Apart, Hesitating Beauty, Passenger Side, and a whole fucking host of other amazing old and new songs. This is the third and best time that I've seen Wilco and they were all in top form. The audience was all singing along and the band was eating it up, there wasn't a single person there who didn't enjoy the two hours and fifteen minutes the band played. My mom, dad, and my dad's best friend from highschool came to the show with me and my sister and it was amazing rocking out with my whole family to the greatest rock show I've ever been to. I also got to meet Nels, Jeff, Mikael, and Pat after the show, they were all just as excited as I was about having just been at an amazing spectacle of rock and roll. Dr. Browning
Sky Blue Sky was a highlight for me--Nels on lap steel. Also arguably the best version of ITMWLY I have ever heard live or taped. Cool outside venue with great sound.
H to the ickle
Yeah, Sky Blue Sky was beautiful. Also, this was the first time I've not gotten a little bored during Spiders, it was an amazing rendition. I saw a few (officially looking) gentlemen recording the show with some really nice gear, so maybe it'll go up on Roadcase, regardless, one them said I would definitely be able to find it on the web eventually. I'm pretty pumped. countryfeedback
If they had replaced Spiders with New Madrid or Box Full of Letters or even Monday, you might be talking about the greatest Wilco encore EVER. This leg of the tour is absolutely incredible. I pitty the fool who doesnt check them out on this upcoming leg of their tour.

UNBELIEVABLE SET. Can't wait for tomorrow.
M. (hristine
Also, Dr. Dog was the best opener I have seen in a long time.

It was the best encore ever, hands down.
countryfeedback
Dont get me wrong, I love hearing Spider's live. I just believe that it is better placed at the end of the first set. It really opens the door for the encores by leaving the fans wanting more. That and I love hearing a final encore with nothing but old school Wilco (maybe some late era Tupelo thrown in) that leaves me going home feeling sweaty and completely out of breath. It seems like Spiders gets an unfair rep around these parts, not sure why, maybe becuase the fellas closed out so many shows with that tune durng the "Ghost" tour(s), but frequency set aside, its the best live rocker Wilco has in the trunk. The crowd particiaption outro needs some work, but for a song that one wouldnt even know how to play a guitar, it just gets better and more intense with each version. Nevertheless, these sets theyve been pushing out are insane. Certinaly not a bad time to be a Wilco fan.
loldoctor
God damn! I'm killing myself right now... I had a chance at a free ticket to this show, but it would have required driving down there (6 hours) and back (6 hours) and then working for eight hours and so I figured 'Nah. It'll probably just be a typical show...' and I'm seeing them on the 9th of Oct... but now I wish I had taken the chance. That's a perfect setlist. I think I speak for all of us when I say that the sooner we can get a recording, the better. What was Spiders like (someone said it was different?) H.Stone
WOO HOO! SOunds like a great show--can't wait for a recording.
H to the ickle
They played Spiders normally for awhile and then the crowd just randomly started clapping along. The band took that as a cue to start dropping out and eventually it went down to just Glenn lightly playing the crowd clapping/going wild for about a minute and a half. Then the whole band came back in for the breakdown and Nels and Jeff were going crazy, then it all cut off and the show was over. It was really fucking intense. Pizatton
I will second (or third, or fourth) that it was a really amazing show. The 2nd encore was freaking amazing, and Spiders was a great way to close out the set. Nels is scary good a guitar...I'm just scared about standing too close to him while he plays...he will melt your face right off. That was my 6th Wilco show (I can't count them on one hand anymore! And they are officially the band I have seen more than any other) and they just continue to bring the rock. I really liked Jeff's line about "Now that we have you guys dancing and enjoying yourself, we are going to play a really depressing ballad...that just Wilco's M.O." (paraphrased). I really enjoyed Dr. Dog's set as well...I had just been introduced to them about 4 or 5 months ago and they played a great live set. This just makes me more excited for the upcoming Kansas City show at the crossroads...it will be nice to have them in so close and not have to put in all the travel time. I assume some other people who went to Columbia will be making the trip to KC as well. Can't wait for the 7th show of my Wilco career.
kidsmoke
My dearest Wilcos, this was the best damned party I've ever been to. Thank you, thank you, thank you, a million times over. Outrageously, transcendently state-of-the-art Wilco. I bow to you. (That's a bow apiece, let's nobody take two.) What joy!    Also, Jeff, keep the hawt hat! It's a great look, as my photos will attest (once I get home and post them that is.) And Glenn, keep the crown. Equally fetching. It seems that hats are coming back! Somebody get John a nice fedora....Nels would look great in a porkpie....etc. (Can anyone tell I'm a bit done in and sleep-deprived? This ain't your mama's roadtripping! But sooooo fun & with the best of company! Hellos to all the great people I got to see. ....I mean, )   To all longing to hear or rehear this phenomenal show, take heart, it was recorded. Edie
This was maybe my 20th show or something and it was easily in the top 2. I loved it from beginning to the wonderful end. Thank you Wilcos for making our trip -- even though we would have had a blast doing just about anything.  As we drove by Branson, we had a good laugh to maybe go see the knobblobbers or whatever they are instead. "Wilco or Branson...Branson or Wilco.... hmmmmm". Kauffman nails? BTW, I will post pics soon. I need a nap now  EDIT: One last thing -- this show kicked the ass of the Millennium Park show in every way (and Jeff said so also). Most of the audience where I was in Chicago were busy checking their crackberries.
