Saint Genevieve
I walked out of "Solaris" (the original one, not the one with George Clooney). I know Tarkovsky is supposed to be some kind of genius, but I kept waiting for something to happen and it never did, so I took off. I also couldn't tolerate "Breaking the Waves" and watching Emily Watson shrieking and crying through the whole thing. My friends told me I missed out by walking out on it, but whatever. embiggen
Only walked out of one movie, Sexy Beast. The projector was all fucked up and after about 10 minutes into the movie it was giving me a migraine. I left and got my money back. Still haven't watched it since. shit, you have got to watch that movie! it's really, really good!
Sir Stewart
I hated it, too. I'm surprised that you did, though. I don't know what that means.
Guest Left Arm Tan
i for one enjoyed Sin City. 300 was pretty lame though. and Sexy Beast is a must see. Ben Kingsley is unreal.
theashtraysays
We rented Spiderman 3 on DVD this evening. If I didn't already live here, I would have walked out. It was quite atrocious. Even my 12 YO thought it was boring.
keylime
I don't see movies in theatres often, I have to have a pretty good feeling that I'm going to like it before I do. I'm usually right, but I've made a couple of mistakes. I walked out of the second Matrix, although I don't know what I was expecting. I don't even like the first one anymore. It was a phase, I guess. I also walked out of some Bruce Willis movie, I don't know what it was...a lot of people were being shot at, I think some kids died...it wasn't good. Eternal Sunshine is one of my favourite movies of all time! And about Sin City, I thought parts of it looked pretty cool, but I almost walked out during the Elijah Wood parts. I have never been so close to vomiting in a theatre. I stayed only because I was with a huge group of people.
So Long
I walked out of the Nascar movie with Will Ferell
the_ashtray_says
Face Off. was hating it, then the projector f'ed up. after a 5 minute delay it started back up, i watched 5 more minutes then said screw it and took off. it felt rather liberating actually to leave the theater. napoleon
i've never made it past the 15 minute mark in anchorman.
OOO
I think 300 fails in pretty much every way compared to Sin City. I wasn't a huge fan
the_fliz1
i've never made it past the 15 minute mark in anchorman. You know the first time I watched Anchorman I didn't think it was that good, but I ended up watching it later on and it started to grow on me. Now I think it is hilarious. Now I think it is hilarious. i might try it again just for you! p.s. i'm glad to see there are so many people who disliked 300. i was afraid i was the only one. i liked infernal affairs much more than the departed. yes, i know. i get crap all the time for saying that. i call myself a film fan but i dare to dislike on of scorsese's "best" films. p.p.s. sin city is absolutely amazing. robert rodriguez is still one of my heros, and he never seems to fail me. i'm sad sin city 2 has been put on hold though so ole' robbie can remake barbarella. So Long
Sin City was great, 300 was uber-lame. (that is the first time I'm ever said uber)Anchorman is only funny because of Steve Carell.

bjorn_skurj
In my view, 300 was the greatest cinematic love poem to fascism since Triumph of the Will.
ryman 317
Wedding Crashers... my wife and I couldn't figure out what everyone thought was so funny about it. I have walked out on many, but have recommended my share that pissed people off like Dead Man and Pi (two of my favorites.)
yermom
In my view, 300 was the greatest cinematic love poem to fascism since Triumph of the Will. What about the original inspiration from which 300 comes, The 300 Spartans from 1962? It's a funny one...lots of old school cheesy dialogue. I'm bummed you've rained on my sexy fellas beefcake extravaganza movie parade with your Leni reference.
bjorn_skurj
Sorry, L. I was kind of baffled, actually, because I always thought Frank Miller was of the revolutionary kind.
Saint Genevieve
I haven't seen 300, but all the stills I've seen from it look like gay porn. ... not that there's anything wrong with gay porn, but I somehow doubt that was the intent. (Or maybe it was? )

I like them both a lot, but yeah Infernal Affairs is better.
