Artifice
Think I'll buck the LP trend here and go with my evening commute last night, which just clicked perfectly for some reason: Kings of Leon - California WaitingThe New Pornographers - Mutiny, I Promise YouBuffalo Tom - SodajerkThe Cure - A ForestOkkervil River - Our Life Is Not A Movie, Or Maybe Then this morning: The Smiths - William, It Was Really NothingModest Mouse - Florida (back to back Johnny Marr!)The Thermals - Pillar of SaltDinosaur Jr - Start Choppin' Between Left of Center and my own playlists, and the light traffic, commuting has been pretty kickass the past couple of times. LoC is a fucking phenomenal godsend for this here ClearChannel market boy. Would like to say that the New P's track is a really great song with a disappointingly poor mix. Drum & bass are washed out completely in favor of whatever that pan flute sound is. Really cuts the balls right out of the track. Compared to the mixes of Use It or Sing Me Spanish Techno on T.C., it's punchless. I betcha it rocks live though.
lizish
but someone has put together an acoustic version of most of the tracks, I guess from b-sides. cool. 'Let's go and throw all the songs we know'

Welsh Rich
That acoustic version of the Cure stuff came as a limited edition bonus disc with the Greatest Hits... it's very good.
lizish
That acoustic version of the Cure stuff came as a limited edition bonus disc with the Greatest Hits... it's very good. Thanks. I used to love the band in the eighties. Can't say I've kept up.
Welsh Rich
Their latest stuff is actually really good, but that Greatest Hits disc really does distill everything that's great about them. I'd love to see them live, but they just play massive gigs now in the UK.
