Good Old Neon
Thank you Thought I agree Christianity's past is every bit as bloody, it real is ok to state that Islam, at this point in our history, is the more violent of the two without having to resort to moral relativism. Sam Harris put it quite well in his book, The End of Faith: It is time for us to admit that not all cultures are at the same stageof moral development. This is a radically impolitic thing to say, ofcourse, but it seems as objectively true as saying that not all societieshave equal material resources. We might even conceive of our moraldifferences in just these terms: not all societies have the same degreeof moral wealth. Many things contribute to such an endowment.Political and economic stability, literacy, a modicum of social equality

Keith Ellison is a vey popular progressive and he's a Muslim. I still don't think simply being Muslim makes you disqualified for public office.

If there were a Muslim running on libertarian policies, I would vote for him/her.

Good Old Neon
Yeah, and I guess most people that have a problem with the possibility of Obama being a Muslim think he's hiding it so he can hijack the government and destroy our values anyway. Well, duh! You just know that if elected, right after being inaugurated, he

bobbob1313
BECK: Thank you. I will tell you, may I -- may we have five minutes here where we're just politically incorrect and I play the cards face up on the table? ELLISON: Go there. BECK: OK. No offense, and I know Muslims. I like Muslims. I've been to mosques. I really don't believe that Islam is a religion of evil. I -- you know, I think it's being hijacked, quite frankly. With that being said, you are a Democrat. You are saying, "Let's cut and run." And I have to tell you, I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, "Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies." And I know you're not. I'm not accusing you of being an enemy, but that's the way I feel, and I think a lot of Americans will feel that way. ELLISON: Well, let me tell you, the people of the Fifth Congressional District know that I have a deep love and affection for my country. There's no one who is more patriotic than I am. And so, you know, I don't need to -- need to prove my patriotic stripes.

Tweedling
No, he attended a secular school in Indonesia. No. No. Yes, but who cares? Why? Which parts of his past though? The stuff that actually happened or the made up parts?I'm pretty sure "the one" writes in "The Audacity of Hope" that he went to a "predominantly muslim school" while in Indonesia. I'm pretty sure while one of his visits to Kenya Obama had endorsed Raila Odinga who was contesting President Mwai Kibaki for the leadership of the country. Odinga is pro muslim. I'm sorry, I was wrong about Louis. Obamas CHURCH was close to Mr Farrakhan. (leader of The Nation of Islam) Hussein......origin........Arabic Like I said, I do not care to argue about Obamas faith. However, I'm not sure your answers to my questions were entirely true. If the man says he is a christian then I believe him. The American public, in general, are not so convinced.
