Wendy
Great to see the DBT's !!! This is probably all I'll watch today though. Edit: I gotta say, as much as she rocks on bass, Shonna's vocals were not great live. Youch!
tangara
Yeah, Shonna sounded...painful. Â And I like the Fiery Furnaces and all, but it was such a drag to cut that Truckers set short.

mfwahl
Kanye West doesn't care about white people. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...ml?hpid=entnewsThe delay was caused by problems setting up West's elaborate stage set, which included an interplanetary landscape of a wavy black platform with a slanted floor in the middle and a video screen above. West performed a spectacular galactic-themed concert complete with interaction with his spaceship, a disembodied female voice named Jane (a kind of sexier HAL). I guess chalk this one up to his Spinal Tap moment. Everyone's gotta have one.

solace
"It was Pearl Jam's fault! Fuck Pearl Jam, man!"  surprised if that's not his reason, by ending at 1:15 instead of 12:30, PJ caused Kanye's show to be delayed from 2:45 until 4:45, lol. dude picked the late night set anyway, he was initially scheduled at 8:15. i like the guy, but come on... tangara
Kind of a meh PJ setlist, IMO.
Chris_H_2
Kind of a meh PJ setlist, IMO. So a song that's only been performed 3 times since 1998, a song that hasn't been performed in its entirety since 1995, and a song that's never been performed at all amount to a "meh?" Tough crowd.
tangara
What's the song that's only been played 3 times since '98? I love the rarities as much as anyone, but the overall setlist just doesn't do much for me. I'm surprised they stretched 25 songs out for 3 hours; I was expecting 30+.

Tough crowd. there's often a very simple a reason songs are rare or have never been played before  great PJ songs > rare PJ songs also, while Matt's take on 'Who You Are' was tolerable, at least compared to his abortion of 'In My Tree', i thought it sounded kinda poor. that stupid "improv" thing Ed did was awful too. as for WMA... it's a top 5 PJ song for me, so i'm hoping Matt's drumming on it is decent. i loved the version i saw Jack do in '
bobbob1313
Man, "Reign Over Me" brought the fucking house down. I was pretty tired and a little inebriated when they were playing, but that perked me right up.

And I'll agree, I love that they constantly mix up their setlists and keep things fresh. The setlist isn't always a great indicator of the "feel" of the show, anyway - I'm sure it was a good time. Just looks a little short of epic.

tangara
last nights PJ setlist was the best of the tour so far! Maybe so, but for a Roo setlist (where the set times are longer and artists can theoretically go hog-wild...witness MMJ) I expected a little more. What can I say, I'm a greedy SOB   That said, I just got an mp3 of "All Night" and it sounds all right.
