Winter Residency Mp3's- Tagged, sorted, and compiled

Thanks! And thanks doubly for using a service other than Sendspace, which I've been attempting to ban by petition for over a year now. (Apparently some people enjoy waiting an hour for something when they could just as easily be getting it in two minutes or less.)

Ok, I'm new to this and would greatly appreciate it if someone could explain how to get the shows into itunes.

thanks

Without knowing what the specific problem is:

Save the zipped files to your hard disk.

Once they are done downloading, open the zipped files. At this point individual mp3's should appear. Just select all of the files and drag them to your iTunes.

Or you could select all and then click on move all selected files to your iTunes folder.

There are probably other threads about this.

You know, I don't want to shit in anyone's punchbowl, but if there is going to be encoding of these files into MP3, they should be at least high quality MP3 (OiNK rules). 90kbps is really crappy. I would be happy to share my MP3s that I encoded to V0 (192kbps VBR) using DBPoweramp. But once you have them, they should stay digital. PM me.

Tapers take a lot of time to get their recordings right, and if someone puts MP3s on a CD, gives them to a friend who then encodes to WAV/FLAC (or anything), then it is a transcode and this messes up the trading pool.

Exact Audio Copy is better.

unless it's a soundboard recording, i don't really see the point of huge files that give you crystal clear reproduction of the dude chattering away next to the taper's mic...

and, cue the flaming!!!

I'm not fucking with this fucking bullshit any fucking more. I made a sarcastic comment about the bit rate - yes - that's it really. If people want to listen to shitty rips, so be it.

i'm assuming that since the recording from night 4 is from the radio feed, 90kpbs is about the best we can get.

There are AUD tapes out there for all 5 nights.

Give me a break....

1. The FM stream is the only show that isencoded at 90

2. All of the AUD's are encoded at 169 kbps, per itunes

3. I have all of the flacs, and all of the flacs are available on etree or other bt sites

4. I was trying to help those that DON't GIVE A **** about how the file is encoded

5. if you're an audiophile, leave the thread and don't download the files

6. Sorry if this is a bit harsh, but i put a lot of time into converting and tagging every freaking song

7. If you are going to bitch about it, then encode 192's and upload them for everyone to have
