bböp
A fun one. Nice to see some good VC representation at the show. I can see why it sold out so quickly. It was not a big place. I think someone said it used to be the auditorium for the elementary school that used to occupy the building. Wacky! One of the looser Hoodoo Voodoos I've ever seen. A good crowd overall. I thought we might get a third encore for a second there; the house lights didn't come up for a long while. Someone who saw a printed setlist told me that Dreamer on My Dreams was listed as that theoretical third encore, which would have been awesome, but it was not to be. Still, there were a number of highlights worth mentioning... remphish1
Awesome setlist..it seems though they are playing less and less Sky Blue Sky songs! I am kind of bummed about that...anyways...
lamradio
>Radio Cure>Remember The Mountain Bed>My Darling>Pick Up The Change Awesome indeed.. Especially "My Darling" and "Pick Up The Change". Those are a couple rare gems.
Chaz
a picture from my friend in the front row. looks like a great show! i wish i still lived in bozeman... although that means i wouldn't have been able to see the madison shows and the chicago shows. uh, and the milwaukee and iowa shows, too... blindgonzo
Wow! Last night was the most fun I have had at a wilco show! As bbop said, the place was small and I was able to grab a spot right against the stage. The audience was relatively quiet during the softer songs, but throughout the entire show you could hear everyone singing along, which I loved! The audience was so excited and appreciative throughout the night and that energy just fed into the energy onstage. Well, for now that's it. I will be going to Missoula today and can't wait! I also can't wait to get outta this hostel where this chick in our room is still snoring. Not a wink of sleep last night! At one point I thought about smothering her, but then I remembered you guys still use capital punishment down here.

"My Darling" would probably kill me dead if I ever seen it live.
mdpoet
It was a great show indeed and nice to see them at such a small venue. Kingpin and My Darling were definitely the highlights for us. So nice to be able to meet some of you. See you in Missoula!
LouisvilleGreg
Awesome setlist..it seems though they are playing less and less Sky Blue Sky songs! I am kind of bummed about that...anyways... I think at this point, they're not really on an SBS promo tour anymore. After the residency, they are capable of playing litereally any song on any given night, and that's a good thing. Besides, the three SBS songs that were played are the three that come across the best live. Appreciate and enjoy the diversity.

AndyB
Radio Cure My request! I'm 2/2. Awesome show, more than I could have expected. All the fans I met were amazing too. Off to Missoula!

This seems to be adding to the diversity of the setlist. Awesome show last night. It was fun seeing them in my home town instead of travelling to see them. Sunken Treasure was a damn nice treat. The entire room was silent and fixated on Jeff and the lyrics. Great way to start the night. Also loved Missunderstood and Shot in the Arm....2 songs I was hoping to get last night. Wish I could get to Missoula but no dice. Hoping to get to Bend this summer...
Pastor Tim
This is just killing me, to have Wilco right here in my own state and not be able to go to either of these shows! Ah well, at least I'll go right on playing some of the residency tapes to soothe the hurt, but thanks for the reviews and setlist(s). Almost every song I could ever have wanted to hear was included last night, my near-perfect setlist. Anyone notice if there was a taper in the house at The Emerson? I'm guessing Bob Wall (BIG guy) would've been back by the soundboard with his R4, but I wish I'd been able to bring my rig too. Hoping, hoping, hoping...
motorhome
I'm pretty sure there was a taper hooked to the soundboard but not 100%.
ancient_footsteps
It was indeed an awesome show and a real treat for Bozeman. We were seated front and center in the balcony and had a wonderful panorama of the band. It was obvious they were having a good time, which always adds to the fun. Unfortunately the first dozen songs were marred by a lone dancer at the front of the balcony directly in a bunch of folks line of sight! So there were a good dozen of so of us who were not able to be fixated on Jeff during Treasure or a good part of the early set and that was a bummer because it was a gorgeous beginning of the show. She brushed off numerous kind requests by various folks, eventually someone actually threw a beer can at her. I hate to see stuff like that happen, but she was oblivious. Someone finally got a big guy with the clout to sit her down or out and she went off to the side with all the other dancers. A few songs later Jeff remarked to a woman down on the floor stage right, "Are you really that tall or are you standing in a chair?" There was some laughter and then he asked "Did you get a permit from the people behind you?" and mildly chastised her. I wish he had noticed our gal up top earlier on. Anyway, once she was gone it was like a whole new show and we could really kick back and enjoy. Sorry to rag on another fan, but it was ruining the show for numerous other fans. I feel better now... It was a fantastic show. First time I'd seen them since 06 at the Ryman and it was right up there, maybe better because of the setlist or the even more intimate setting. Wow. We don't get such musical treats here often and I can't thank Jeff and the fellows enough for dropping by. Anyway, sorry to go on, but what I started to say was that I did see a fellow wander across the balcony with tape gear but he did not set up there. I do hope he got setup somewhere! I'll be looking out for this one.
mungry
yes indeed a killer show. Very high energy from start to finish. I thought the opening band was a real downer and somewhat painful. I'm not sure if they played if for me but I requested I'm The Man that Loves You. I gave my card to one dude who was taping so hopefully he'll deliver the goods. The sound was awesome in a nice small venue.
Pastor Tim
Just talked with my buddy who was running his R4 -- YEP, HE TAPED! His rig was back by the soundboard and he said the recording sounds pretty darned good because the crew created a great mix. It may be a little while before his recording surfaces (he's currently rebuilding his computer) but like my archiving motto says: "All good tapes in all good time." Me, I'm just doing my little happy dance because he pulled a good recording.

mungry
they play that at every show, actually yeah but it was super extra special for us since we're getting married in Vegas on Fri. That was the point in the show where they really kicked it in. We'll keep telling ourselves that it was for us last night. I didn't even know they had a form to request a song and was searching the net for a way to try to get a request in. I filled it out about two weeks ago and we drove up from Idaho. Even if it wasn't for us it was sure nice to hear!
W(TF)
Sorry to rag on another fan, but it was ruining the show for numerous other fans. I feel better now... No need to apologize. Treasure/Mountain Bed is a helluva opener...I'd be royally pissed off too.
