If Ortiz and Beckett continue to perform at their current levels, it will be hard for the Sox. The Rays sure look like they have a lot more stones than Cleveland did last year.

I appreciate the low key win of the Rays. While i didn't expect them to do all bouncy on the field, they are clearly keeping it pretty mellow and as a red sox fan, I have a lot of respect for a team that shows respect on the road. Or maybe they're just wicket cold and want to go have a steak dinner.

Sort of annoyed by how at least 2 of the TBS guys tonight (Harold Reynolds post-game, but also one of the guys during the game too -- don't remember which one) insisted that "If we told you this score before the game, no one would have expected it to be the Rays winning it" or something to that effect. Why is it so surprising? The Rays had the better record in the regular season, and the teams essentially split their head-to-head regular season series, so why would "no one" expect the Rays to win this game?

That being said, TBS's coverage still beats the shit out of Fox's baseball coverage (FrankTV spots excepted).

Has anyone else noticed that Buck Martinez sounds like the senator from Godfather II? When he's talking, I keep waiting to hear "This broadcast is in no way whatsoever a slur upon the great people of Red Sox Nation."
