Sir Stewart
ouchI was, of course, referring to a game from mid-July. I think that was clear.
MrRain422
My bad. In that case, nice retro-prediction.

jenbobblehead
I can't even watch. Well, it is on, but the sound is off. The red sox are playing very very poorly. You know, I'm starting to think that the best teams don't always make it to the post season.
MrRain422
You're right, they don't, but in this case the Rays may be the better team. Garza is owning them tonight.
Sir Stewart
That mothereffer Garza better stop spitting so much or I may need to do something about it.
jenbobblehead
You're right, they don't, but in this case the Rays may be the better team. Garza is owning them tonight.I was being funny. Trying to drag bobbob in.
bobbob1313
blah blah blah, the red sox suck.
jenbobblehead
blah blah blah, the red sox suck.Yes, i will agree with you on that one, at least this week! They are not playing well AT ALL. when was the last time David Ortiz hit a home run, anyway?
bobbob1313
I haven't watched today's game. But the Sox are still in it.
bjorn_skurj
If Ortiz and Beckett continue to perform at their current levels, it will be hard for the Sox. The Rays sure look like they have a lot more stones than Cleveland did last year.
jenbobblehead
I appreciate the low key win of the Rays. While i didn't expect them to do all bouncy on the field, they are clearly keeping it pretty mellow and as a red sox fan, I have a lot of respect for a team that shows respect on the road. Or maybe they're just wicket cold and want to go have a steak dinner.
Sweet Papa Crimbo
If Ortiz and Beckett continue to perform at their current levels, it will be hard for the Sox. The Rays sure look like they have a lot more stones than Cleveland did last year. Not to rub salt in the wounds...but DA$M!!! You gotta thing Selig is rooting for a Boston LA series and it looks like he's gonna get Phillie Tampa.
MrRain422
Sort of annoyed by how at least 2 of the TBS guys tonight (Harold Reynolds post-game, but also one of the guys during the game too -- don't remember which one) insisted that "If we told you this score before the game, no one would have expected it to be the Rays winning it" or something to that effect. Why is it so surprising? The Rays had the better record in the regular season, and the teams essentially split their head-to-head regular season series, so why would "no one" expect the Rays to win this game? That being said, TBS's coverage still beats the shit out of Fox's baseball coverage (FrankTV spots excepted).
Sir Stewart
Has anyone else noticed that Buck Martinez sounds like the senator from Godfather II? When he's talking, I keep waiting to hear "This broadcast is in no way whatsoever a slur upon the great people of Red Sox Nation."
