HungryHippo
I usually skip "Can't Stand It". That's because the album is 14 songs long and I want to get to the really good stuff. I skip "Casino Queen", probably for the same reason, there's so much great stuff on AM I'd rather hear in a sitting. That's about it. Sometimes I skip "Misunderstood" to get to "Far, Far Away", because its one of my favorites, but I still like "Misunderstood."lol, I do the same exact thing. tho I have started listening to "Can't Stand It" again but I do skip "Either Way" for "You Are My Face." Doug C
Some people are going to give me shit for being an asshole because I am repeating myself, but again I have to ask this: You all sincerely can't stand hearing the songs that you have listed? No exaggeration, hyperbole, etc.? Hearing them is actually offensive? How do you react if a truly offensive song, 'You Light Up My Life' for instance, is in earshot? Not enjoying certain songs as much as others, sure. After all, Wilco music is diverse and let's face it, no songwriter hits a home run every time but 'can't stand'? I am not trying to be a stick poker, I am honestly intrigued that such serious music fans find any Wilco song, much less several, unlistenable.

I cringe when I hear Shot in the Arm or Spiders live which has pretty much been everytime I have seen them since those 2 songs came out! Though the 2002 early version of Spiders was decent! lamradio
Hotel Arizona is easily the worst Wilco song ever. It's funny how a lot of the songs listed here are my favorite Wilco tunes. I don't know why but I have always LOVED Hotel Arizona. C'mon, it sounded AMAZING at The Residency.
Rusty Shackleford
I'm enough of a fanboy that I don't really dislike any of Wilco's songs, but there are some that I tend to skip over: KingpinHotel ArizonaIn a Future AgeWhen You Wake Up Feeling OldLess Than You Think They're not really bad songs, but they feel like filler on those albums. Less Than You Think is actually a lovely song, it's just about 11 minutes too long.

And fodder for a new thread.

I dont hate it but it certainly isnt my favorite song on SBS.It's certainly not my favorite on the album, but it is far from the worst. That honor belongs to On & On & On which is the only song that comes to mind for me which I HATE so much that I MUST skip it. Of course, I'll skip the the white noise on Less Than You Think, but I quite like the actual song.

IMO, "On & On & On" is a beautiful song and from a songwriting standpoint, is brilliantly written. But to each his own of course.. I just find your post hard to comprehend. Moe_Syzlak
I find it completely intolerable and amongst the most trite lyrics I've ever heard... not just from Tweedy. But you;re right... to each his own!

But you;re right... to each his own! "Please don't cry This world of words and meanings makes you feel outside Something that you feel already deep inside You've denied Go ahead and cry" Not very trite in my opinion.. But hey, I also love Hotel Arizona which I haven't seen a single positive post about that song in this thread, so what do I know.
