Wendy
Sent the link, Wendy. I was on an Isbell kick just this morning, finally listening to the "Live At Twist N Shout" CD I bought ages ago but somehow never listened to. Smart of him to put out some of his best DBT-era songs recorded live with the 400 Unit. So I guess this is PE (Played Earlier!)

Moss
Optical illusion. This cover seems to move like you are on an LSD trip when you stare at it....er..is it just me?
Sir Stewart
When I stare then move my eyes around the image, the change in focus makes it seem like it's moving, yeah.

Not just you.And yeah, the "movement" on that cover is a lot more intense than on a lot of other illusions that I've seen. It's pretty awesome.

I think we can trade great lines from this album all day. "Soldiers Get Strange" is unsettling in its accuracy of people coming home from the war, isn't it?
solace
"Soldiers Get Strange" is unsettling in its accuracy of people coming home from the war, isn't it? that's one of my faves, even if it reminds me of Grown a bit musically
Mrs. Peel
that's one of my faves, even if it reminds me of Grown a bit musically I definitely hear that. At least it doesn't sound like "Wild Wild West".
tangara
I'm takin' a walk.I'm goin' outside. Forgive my completely and totally unforgivable ignorance, but where is a good place to start with John Prine? I've always enjoyed what I've heard from him, but for one reason or another, I never fully dove in. But someone sent me "Lake Marie" a few weeks ago, and I'm feeling the need to remedy all these years of Prinelessness. Gonna give that Isbell a listen this morning, I think.
