grateful dead
Does your girlfriend or wife just roll their eyes at wilco. Mine does. Omg it pisses me off! Its so sad because wilco is so important to me. She loves Jam Bands. I have even said if jerry or trey (Phish) sang any of these songs she'd love them. She agrees. Its hopeless..... SeattleC
That's too funny, based on my own experiences. I'm the only big Wilco fan around this house, everyone else just sorta tolerates it (while gripping under their breath). My 'better half' does think they are really great live based on 3 shows, but doesn't enjoy listening to the recordings all that much. My kids love to give me grief about Wilco. (Not that I've never given my daughter grief about Jason Mraz )
jlb1705
I introduced my fiancee to Wilco when we started dating and she's into 'em. Not as much as I am, but they're probably in her top 5-10. I don't think we would've worked out if she didn't like Wilco and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
uncool2pillow
The wife tolerates them. I know she'd become a fan is she saw them live. That always happens when I take her to live shows. Well, except for Richard Thompson. She likes the shows, but I don't think she ever listens to his CDs.
Theremin
She's a jar... with a heavy lid... lalala
m_to_the_c
I was just thinking about this yesterday. Dated a girl years ago who didn't like either Wilco or Cracker. Tried to make it work, but should have seen the writing on the wall. Now I'm gloating, but the wonderful woman who I am married to now loves all kinds of music. Actually, what was probably our tenth date was an impromptu trip to Seattle to see Wilco (and others!) at Bumbershoot 2002. She was like "sure, I'll fly across the country with this guy I don't really know, to see all this music in a place neither of us has been!"

daranih
My wife hates/tolerates them for me. We went together to see them in 2006 at a theatre venue. She said the place smelled like hippy and did not enjoy herself. Still lets me listen to them in the car and watch the dvd, but has no interest :/
Lammycat
My ex-wife loves them. Just goes to show....

Guest Francis X. Hummel
This weekend, I overheard my girlfriend say "She went to some Phish or Wilco show. Or some dumb shit like that." I just Charlie-Browned myself out the door.
Wilco Worshipper
This weekend, I overheard my girlfriend say "She went to some Phish or Wilco show. Or some dumb shit like that."Say it ain't so Todd, say it ain't so!!!
TCP
My ex-girlfriend loved metal and anything loud. She wouldn't even try to listen to anything I liked. She also got mad if I watched hockey, in fact I recall her getting mad when I'd talk about hockey or music. I am now single
quosh
My gf likes Jesus etc. but makes me switch ALTWYS off the second she hears the opening chords she says it unsettles her as her ex used to hit her. I really wish that I'd never explained the meaning of the song to her now, she'd be none the wiser... It's one of my favourite Wilco tracks so it's becoming a real pain in the ass.Oh well... brianjeremy
My wife doesn't hate Wilco per se, but she never pulls them off the shelf to listen to them. She enjoys the older stuff, i.e. A.M. and being there, but not so much anything after that.
c.lo
My husband is not a Wilco fan (he would never listen to a CD). But he will admit, they put on a good show & I think he enjoys their concerts. I recently made two friends get copies of YHF & both said they loved it. One even bought the vinyl.
junkiesmile
If your other half hates Wilco are they necessarily the better half?
AJ673
I'm I the only better half that now likes Wilco more than my husband? He first heard of them in 1997 and has been a big fan ever since. I met my husband in 1999 and Wilco is probably the only music we both really like. He even told me yesterday that I perhaps listen to Wilco too much!
Beltmann
I'm reminded of the football trivia test in Diner.
