kidsmoke
I love to hear you talk about music. I so agree! Tualla, I've just read through all your commentary, now how can I not want to hear each and every song, with the framework you've given in mind? So thank you for the time you put into that. GtrPlyr
I've been listening to a lot of Soul music lately so I figured I'd make a compilation of some of the stuff I've been into. This mix should go along nicely with Joss Ackland's great mix posted above. There's a bunch of great artists here, from well known, to sorta known, to barely known. The songs run the gamut from raw Soul and Rockin' Soul, to pop-Soul and Funk, hailing from Chicago to New Orleans and all points in between. Also included are a few interesting covers of Dylan, CCR, and Doors songs, as well as a song made popular by Elvis. I Hope you enjoy the ride. Sweet Soul for Your Earhole 01. Howard Tate - Stop (1968)02. Eddie & Ernie - Lay Lady Lay (1972)03. Maxine Brown - I Wish It Would Rain (1968)04. Bettye LaVette - Your Turn to Cry (1973)05. Candi Staton - In the Ghetto (1972)06. Synthesizer Patel
Nah, that's already been used... maybe for the sequel though . true, but if you continue in the same style as your title you're going to run into problems with volume 2, cos there's only one other hole I can think of right now. ps. i've downloaded your mix, but not listened to it yet - i'm sure it's great though. mpolak21
I've been inspired to make a sequel. Love all the mixes so far, Gtr Plyr's and PopTodd's have introduced me to a lot of stuff I hadn't heard before but am really getting into. --Mike
kidsmoke
Ack, Tualla! Just went to burn your mix to disc and discovered it's mixed up and missing a couple of tracks. Here's the download list: 1. I Live A Lot Of Places (Woodpigeon) 2. Proof of Love (Old Man Luedecke) 3. Don't Ever Change (Pink Nasty) 4. Easy Does It (Bonnie "Prince" Billy) 5. No Great Leap (One Hundred Dollars) 6. My Hands 7. Eternal Return (Brakes) 8. Please Yourself (The Broken Family Band) 9. Shine A Light (Wolf Parade) 10. Throw Me to the Rats (Tom Fun Orchestra) 11. If The Creeks Don't Rise (Sunparlour Players) 12. Weighty Ghost (Wintersleep) 13. What Never Comes (Crooked Fingers) 14. Cop Killer (Andre Ethier) 15. I Don’t Ever Want To Change (The Drones) As you see, there are only 15 tracks instead of 17, and some aren't the right tracks. I'm enjoying listening to what's here, regardless, but I do want to hear that Jon Rae Fletcher!

Mr. Kinsley
true, but if you continue in the same style as your title you're going to run into problems with volume 2, cos there's only one other hole I can think of right now. A hole can only have one mix. I'm inspired to play along, but I don't have nearly the ammo to keep up with the likes of you folk. Y'all are rather intimidating.
