Guest Alan
When Phish plays a show on Halloween traditionally they'll cover an entire album. So far they have covered The White Album, Quadrophenia, Velvet Underground's Loaded, and Remain in Light by Talking Heads. They also covered Dark Side of the Moon, but not on the holiday. So if Wilco were to do this, what album would you want to hear them cover? What album do you think they could do justice and at the same time put their own spin on? As I said in another thread, I'd love to hear Wilco cover some Grateful Dead. Workingman's Dead could be done so well by Wilco. American Beauty as well. I also think It'd be interesting to hear Wilco cover OK Computer.

Ghost of Electricity
I won't allow it.Then I'm not sure if I'm interested. I'd rather hear the reunited Jayhawks doing it. They'd do better on the "Box of Rain" harmonies anyway. I'm changing my vote to "Trace"

Ghost of Electricity
I'm sorry, I just hate Jay.Just think that record is more suited to the UT or early Wilco thing than where they are now. The rootsy/bluegrassy/country thing isn't one of Nels' stronger points. Neil Young, Rust Never Sleeps. I can't wait to hear their rendition of Powderfinger.Check out the Yung Wu (a Feelies' side project) version of this song.
BreezyGrass
To put a slight twist on the thread - I'd love for them to take Europe '72 into the studio and record it in their own way. Now that would be sick! Jeff on Brown Eyed Women anyone? And in the spirit of the new remastering going on in Beatles land, Abbey Road! Great thread!

Mr. Kinsley
This one is easy... Television - Marquee Moon I do believe you're correct. The even more correct answer is that, since Jeff is such the music junkie, it would be some album so obscure that even the band that originally recorded it didn't know about it.
