knotgreen
So I got the tour poster framed with my Lowell and Portland tickets from the summer tour. Just picked it up this evening and wanted to share. Here is an older one I had done for a Tom Petty show I saw in Los Angeles in 2002 I'm really happy with the new Wilco one. These posters are pretty incredible and look nice with the tickets mounted with them. They look nicer on a white wall but this will do for now Mods-- if this thread doesn't belong here you may move it or I can delete it. Enjoy!
Moss
Those look fantastic. I have a framed poster from the Red Rocks show in 2003 but I like yours better. Very cool.

Nobody Girl
Those are very nice! I have many framed Wilco posters, but I never thought of putting my ticket stubs with them.
Wendy
Nice! On a side note: Are these photos really gigantic or is it just my work PC with its old IE browser not reducing them automatically on the new board software? They're huge.

Wendy
Nels, from Rolling Stone: http://www.rollingstone.com/blogs/smokingsection/2008/09/wilco-new-suits-new-album.php On the Nudie Suits: Well, it was all Jeff's Tweedy's idea, certainly, and Jeff bought them for the band. So I asked if they had a Day of the Dead style suit -- with a skull and cross bones. And they said, "Well, yeah. Look at the jpeg. So I picked that one and I asked for angels on the back shoulders, which they added. How long did the process take? It was kind of a rushed job. The idea was born three months before Lollapalooza and it takes at least two months to get the suit, and they had to make not only enough for the whole band with different designs and different colors, but Jeff also ordered jackets for the Total Pros, our horn section. I think he just wanted to show to be very special for the local audience, for the Lollapalooza audience. Something for the local fans. And then we did wear them again at Tanglewood this year. They're actually strangely comfortable to wear. It's hard for me to wear a jacket and rock out. I don't do it normally. But certainly in the service of the nudie suit glamour, one must suffer for fashion. I just kept looking around at everybody going, '"Damn! They look good!" When you walked on stage at Lollapalooza, did you notice the crowd digging on the suits? People freaked out. You know, they're made to look good up close and far away, glittering the whole time. Jeff's suit is the red one with the Korean Cat of Prosperity that's in all the sushi bars, the waving cat. I mean, that alone as an idea is so marvelous to me. John [stirratt] had the nautical one with the short-waist jacket, a-la Flying Burrito Brothers. Mike [Jorgenson] with his green one with the owls all over it and the phases of the moon going down the legs. Oh, man! They really mind-blowing. And they look so lovely under the lights. I felt fancy. It fit perfectly too.
BreezyGrass
Love the idea of having the ticket stubbs included in the framing! Great stuff and will be doing it for the Keyspan Park Poster! My first Wilco Show!!!!

knotgreen
I finally go this bad boy framed: mahinty, that looks really great. i love that poster! the mat and frame really tie it all together. not that anyone is really that interested, but i had a poster from guster's 10 anniversary show in (hometown) boston, on halloween night, framed. bonus, the poster was halloween themed, so i stuck with that for the framing: my favorite part is that the mat itself is black, but the trim, which is usually white, is actually orange. without it, i don't think the piece would look nearly as nice as it does. anyway, hoping the poster from solid sound isn't too incredible, or else i'll be visiting the local frame shop again
peteboiler
Here is mine. Put together last year from the Clearwater show. Bob
thejokeexplained
Here's some framing i did for my A Ghost Is Born tour obsession. Obviously not a poster, but Wilco almost has as many tote's as they do posters!
Bosco
After reading this thread I was browsing the Wilco Store, and noticed they had some of the unsigned posters that guy was making outside the Poster display at Mass MoCA, figured what the hell, one more souvenir couldn't hurt, and made the splash. After the order was confirmed I checked back at the store, turns out I got the last one , I can't wait to get this baby framed!
knotgreen
sorry to resurrect this... my father had his solid sound poster framed, thought i'd share. the picture doesn't quite do it justice. but, you get the general idea.

Maybe I'm missing something, but where is the picture? I'm thinking of making three for Solid Sound (it was that awesome), the first one that lists all the acts on the wrinkled paper, the Stomp Box poster and the one the guy made outside the poster room. worldrecordplayer
Love this thread, keep the photos coming. Recently bought the poster for the Orpheum/Boston show, it's being framed as I type. Don't still have my ticket stub. Will post a photo when I get it back. I'm going to get a really nice band photo from the Solid Sound show and frame that with my Solid Sound grid book.
