PopTodd
I love this one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSCuTEOQkho Oh, and the new Hawaii-5-0 does not count, because that is still an old theme. We all know that one, already.
GtrPlyr
Sorry Todd, I didn't like that one at all. For current shows: Mad MenTrue Blood http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWaFD4S00mc
mjpuczko
treme is awesome. does 'forever young' count on parenthood? ;-)
PopTodd
That TDI thing just makes me smile. And, mj: I was thinking more of songs that were written specifically for use as the show's theme.
Turnips
this one is good, from How to Make it in America http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_9aaotk3PU
ih8music
maybe not the best, but I have to admit that I enjoy this one when my kids watch the show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoFERECnYno
ih8music
Actually, doesn't Craig Ferguson still use this as his theme? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36_9eUt4blQ

bigshoulders
Friday Night Lights "Your Hand in Mine" by Explosions in the Skyhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj6gulcYeG4 Full version I also am liking the theme song to Terriers on FX. Written and performed (I think) by Robert Duncan, but every time I hear it, I am convinced anew that it's a new Magnetic Fields song (or Stephin Merritt is behind it somehow.) LouieB
The music used for "Community" which the internet says is "At Least It Was Here" by The 88. I don't know who they are, but I like it. LouieB

Magnetized
I like this--fits the show really well, too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxINMuOgAu8
sonicshoulder
maybe not the best, but I have to admit that I enjoy this one when my kids watch the show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoFERECnYnoI am so glad they make kids shows like this now. My girls don't like it nearly as much as I do though so I find myself begging them to watch it. Shouldn't they be begging me to watch certain shows? p.s. my vote for all time though still goes to Nightcourt.
uncool2pillow
We watch way too much Phineas & Ferb at my house these days. I'm pretty sure the kids think the TV is the glowing box that plays P&P. Great humor for kids and parents.

Great humor for kids and parents. Same here. We've actually had to impose a "One Phineas & Ferb per day" rule at our house, 'cause that's pretty much the only thing they want to watch these days. u2roolz
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idoYCVLh2qI This and the theme to Curb Your Enthusiasm lightens up my mood anytime of day and makes me laugh. It's also fun music to play in your car with your windows down. It's just very liberating. Also, Bored To Death reminds me of a cross between the old Pink Panther theme, but with lyrics. And let us not forget the amazing Sesame Street theme. Still going strong. Even if they're afraid of boobies.

Turnips
after 4 seasons I'm totally sick of the mad men song. although it's by RJD2, who's done some awesome instrumental hip hop in the past
Excitable Boy
My old favorite was the Weeds theme. I was really pissed when they stopped using it. Californication is probably my current favorite.
