The High Heat
I am seeing wilco tonight. I am going to squat, in an effort to be compromisingRemove your spurs first.
Atticus
I wear whiny-fan-friendly spurs to wilco concerts
theashtraysays
Do you plan to throw things at the non-squatters? Somehow I get this image of a baseball catcher in all of this.
Atticus
I don't throw anything at anyone at wilco shows. other than love and tolerance.

I didn't say it was not a very inspiring song. I pointed out the fact that as an opener, it's not likely to get a crowd on its feet. I was there. It didn't. Contrast that song with rockers like I'm The Man Who Loves You, A Shot In The Arm, Casino Queen, or Outtasite (Outta Mind), and you might get my point.
bobfrombob
To make things even worse: I refuse to go to a stadium concert, got free tickets the other day for Springsteen about 20 miles from where I live. no thanx, feels too much like a concentration camp to me.(80.000 people surrounded by barb wire ,police etc.)Where was Springsteen playing the other day? bleedorange
I like the slow opener. I've always thought "Hell is Chrome" makes a great opening song.
Atticus
I like the slow opener. I've always thought "Hell is Chrome" makes a great opening song. I think that's what they opened with when we saw them in san antonio. it was awesome. tonight I hope they open with everlasting dong. I am bringing my own bells. lamradio
Three out of the four times I've seen Wilco (well modern Wilco, not counting when I saw them in 96) they have opened with Sunken Treasure. Don't get me wrong I love the song, but the third time I was like "really?"....
