Doug C
I don't see the words "lazy" or "handouts" in there. And it's all true.Ha ha! You are um... let's see... an interesting guy. Yeah! That's it. I'll go with interesting. Do you see synonyms for and/or descriptors of "lazy" and "handouts" in there?"All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them."

Tweedling
Anytime he has tried to look presidential it has backfired on him (Europe trip, Embassy statement). He has been a disaster. I mean come on, with an economy that we are in a GOP candidate should be destroying PBO.I'm sorry but Obama going all around the world and bowing (AND doing it the wrong way!) to world leaders is hardly presidential! Now I hear the State Department is in talks with Egypt about handing over the Blind Shiek? And who was the bomber we handed over due to his "illness" that would cause him to die soon (he's still alive!).This president is weak! He looks weak, he acts weak and he speaks weak. We need someone with balls right now.And before someone jumps on the "he got Bin Laden" bandwagon.... I've heard it said multiple times that the intel that lead to his whereabouts came from the torturing that Obama so quickly put an end to. Oh, I agree with the GOP candidate should be destroying Obama. ( sorry but i dont agree with the acronyms) *I apologize for the rant. Had to get it off my chest.
Doug C
I trust Mitt's numbers.Ha ha! A card , I tell you. A veritable card! Jules, I get you now. I used to think, "Here is this adult, successful businessman, likely family man, with lot's of serious responsibilities and he enjoys spending chunks of time over several years baiting people on internet message boards. He doesn't care that the intelligent one's think that he is a douchebag, it's fun for him. Wow. I hope that if I am ever as successful financially, that I don't act like an arse". I was wrong. I don't think that you are an arse-face douchebag anymore and I apologize for thinking that. It is clear to me that you say ridiculous shite that you don't mean because of your major responsibilities that are likely major stressors. It is your way of dealing with it all. You come here and revel in getting reactions. "How moronic can I sound today and still get people to respond?" It is your much needed entertainment. A quick, safe, easy and inexpensive way to laugh and smile. To boost serotonin, dopamine and endorphins. You are the resident VC crank for the same reason that I run every morning, tell corny jokes throughout my lectures, why I make lame comments to my wife in search of a laugh and all of the rest. Good on you, Jules (I wish that you used your name but I understand why you don't). I am glad that you have something to keep you sane.I used to think that you and your friends would have to be a hell of an annoying group, but I realize that I'd probably enjoy hanging out with you because you enjoy laughing as much as I do. I prefer not to have to take on the persona of The Grand Poobah of the Royal Order of Douchebaggalos to do so but that's where we are different. I doubt that you will, but pm me. If you are ever in Tampa, I'd love to get together for a beer and some banter. That is a sincere invitation. Doug
sonicshoulder
One thing I've learned being a sports fan all my life is the best place to go for information and analysis isn't ESPN or the internet, it's Vegas. Mr. Heartbreak
Please, folks, don't get complacent about Obama's reelection prospects. There is still plenty of time, and poll numbers may not truly reflect what people will do on November 6. We need everyone who can pitch in to do so. It will be close, and Mitt is nowhere near out of it. I know I will not be relaxed about it until it's over.

Oh, I agree with the GOP candidate should be destroying Obama. ( sorry but i dont agree with the acronyms)*I apologize for the rant. Had to get it off my chest. You really need to provide some context for all of this. Or at least site some references, cause mostly I have no idea what you are on about. If you are talking about the Lockerbie bomber, he was handed over by the Scottish Government and he died in May. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_Am_Flight_103 On the Blind Sheik, can you give me a credible source? I looked it up and it seems to be all attributed to the Blaze.com and Glenn Beck. I am sorry those are not credible sources. On the bowing thing, I personal don't see it. At least he didn't kiss him and hold his hand ala GWB http://sayitaintsoalready.com/2009/04/15/george-bush-kisses-a-saudi-prince/ I think your weakness claim is a perceived weakness. You maybe referencing to "Obama's Apology Tour." Yeah not so much of an apology http://factcheck.org/2012/08/romneys-sorry-apology-tour-dig/. Or the apology by the Egypt embassy, in which MItt pretty much said the same thing. I have listened to Rush lately saying that the violence in the Middle East is a result of PBO's weak foreign policy. I am not sure what Romney would have done to stem the violence, or stop it in the first place. Also if you go by the logic that violence is a result of PBO's weak foreign policy, wouldn't you have to then claim weakness on GWB, Clinton, GHWB, and Regan. They all had protests against the US in the Middle East, as well as bombings (1983 - Beruit; 1998 - Tazina; and seven embassies where attacked while GWB was prez http://mediamatters.org/research/2012/09/14/krauthammer-whitewashes-bushs-history-to-bash-o/189890 ) It really is a poor argument. We cannot run around acting like a Cowboy, shooting anyone who looks at us funny. The Bush Doctrine got us into a huge mess in Afghanistan and Iraq. I am not sure what Romney would do differently than Bush. Listen I am all for a spirited debate on foreign policy, I think it is an important thing to discuss. I think it is getting looked over. I just don't see Romney having the knowledge and wherewithal to manage foreign policy effectively. What I am doing is looking at history and what Romney has done recently. He had several noted missteps in his European tour and with the bombings recently he choose to score political points rather than wait and respond when all the facts where known. Also if you are gonna go on a rant, please take the time to at least back up what you are saying with a little reference. You could have brought up some interesting points, but I spent most of my time trying to figure out what you are trying to say.

IRememberDBoon
Romney's 47 percent paying no taxes combines elderly with poor workers Text Size: A | A | APrint this ArticleEmail this ArticleShareThis By Richard Rubin Bloomberg News September 18, 2012 3:01 PM WASHINGTON — Elderly Americans and low-wage workers make up the bulk of those who don't pay income taxes, a group that Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney said are "dependent on government" and see themselves as "victims." For 2011, 46 percent of households didn't pay federal income taxes. About half of those didn't pay because of standard deductions and personal exemptions designed to exclude subsistence levels of income from taxation. The rest received tax breaks, including the earned income tax credit, the child tax credit and tax benefits for older Americans such as the exclusion of Social Security benefits from income. This group still paid state and local taxes and payroll taxes. "Half of them are people that are just plain old poor," said Roberton Williams, a senior fellow at the Tax Policy Center, a nonpartisan group in Washington. "And the other half are people that aren't very far out of that poor category, but get some tax breaks." alright i promise this time Dowse!
Sparky speaks
We are fast becoming a failed socialist welfare state... Economic Freedom of the World: 2012 Annual Report “[T]he United States has fallen precipitously from second in 2000 to eighth in 2005 and 19th in 2010 (unadjusted ranking of 18th). By 2009, the United States had fallen behind Switzerland, Canada, Australia, Chile, and Mauritius, countries that chose not to follow the path of massive growth in government financed by borrowing that is now the most prominent characteristic of US fiscal policy. By 2010, the United States had also fallen behind Finland and Denmark, two European welfare states. Moreover, it now trails Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Taiwan, and Qatar, countries that are not usually perceived of as bastions of economic freedom.”http://www.economicfreedom.org/2012/09/18/economic-freedom-of-the-world-2012-annual-report/
lost highway
Finland's GDP has been on a steady, and sometimes sky rocket climb in the last several decades. In fact their only serious fall was during the economic crisis and they've almost risen back to their 2008 high before the dip. Denmark is similar. Question: Is there a Mormon subtext going on that has held Romney back, yet not been a discussion because it's a politically correct mine field? Sweet Papa Crimbo
I really don't know why either of these guys would want to be President the next four years. We are headed for a total economic meltdown and neither one of these guys appear to have enough on the ball to even have a hope of addressing the economic problem, much less the problems with the Muslim world, the Chinese and the North Koreans. At least we won't have to hear 'it's not my fault' anymore when Obama gets re-elected...maybe. Eventually he'll get to own this mess as at least being partly his doing.
