I actually got to hear the Ryman show tonight. I have this little one-night-a-week shift I work at a great local video store, and I told my coworkers about the show. We hooked it up through the store's sound system--which is very good--and played the whole thing from beginning to end. Just a few pain in the ass customers to distract me. It sounded so good!

I am really sorry for those of you who were planning to go to Taste tonight, though. That would bum me out so much.

My recording is all set to share!  I just have to wait for dimeadozen to finish their routine DB maintenance.

Oh, thank you so much! Even though I did get to hear the show, it's one I'll want to revisit often. You are doing us all such a great favor!

Thanks so much. I appreciate your offer for a Dropbox situation- to the technically challenged, like myself, I would be most grateful, thanks again!!

I'd appreciate a DropBox link too. I'm having trouble with Dime - 86 seeders but I'm getting hung up "finding peers".

Thanks for doing this, Col.

Lucinda Williams is playing at Reggie's at 10 tonight. Maybe we'll get lucky and Tweedy will announce something for this week too.

It was a great show. Lucinda is a 61 YO Bad *ss. Announced around 9, came on stage just prior to 11 and played 15 songs, including many of her greatest hits, for about 80 minutes to a hot and sweaty crowd of 200. Really cool that she did this. I was lucky to have been there.

From a Chicago Tribune article:

Not all local venues were receptive to Williams coming in, according to Williams’ management, who posted the following on Lucinda Williams’ official Facebook:

“Just called Buddy Guy's club - the girl I talked to didn't want to put much effort in getting ahold of mgmt and I also got the feeling she might not have known who Lucinda was. "

I made it down to Reggie's last night as well, after getting a tip from a buddy, and it was a blast. I imagined that's sort of what it was like to see Lucinda in a sweaty Texas honky-tonk back in the day, or at least as close as I'll come to it. I think it's cool that she and her team went to the trouble to find a venue to play in and put on a good show, for free no less, when they certainly didn't have to do that...

In case anyone was interested here's what she played:

Can't Let Go

Pineola

Drunken Angel

I Lost It

new song-Something Wicked This Way Comes

new song-Protection

Out Of Touch

Changed The Locks

Essence

Joy

Come To Me Baby [Howlin' Wolf]

Honey Bee

Get Right With God

-------------------------------

Righteously

Rockin' In The Free World [Neil Young]

I put this up on etree, for those of you who can't get dime to work. No account required!

Now, I'll get to work on a solution for for non-torrent people.

That one works for me. Thanks!!

Not sure what's up with Dime. I can't get anything. UTorrent still works fine on other sites (bt.etree, Pirate Bay, etc) so it seems to be Dime-specific.

:) Thanks, from all of us non-torrent people. I could try to untangle, but knowing you're doing this de-stresses my day & keeps me from digging any deeper with having to figure out how to unravel torrents & get FLAC's to work with iTunes...

OK, major problem! I forgot to put Summer Noon in there! I need to delete everything, and start over now! Man, I'm pissed!!!

Then let me send out extra, extra thanks, again, from the tribe of the technically challenged/non-torrent folk!! Extra good karma your way & PM me to find out if there's anything I could get to you (sonically speaking) that might pay something back...

FYI, This is a fresh edit of this show. It turns out i not only forgot to include the track summer noon in my previous torrent, i also overlooked it when i originally split the track into the original torrent. I have no idea how i managed to do that, so the only way to make sure this live show didn't sound completely strange to my ears at that edit point between tracks 4, 5, and 6, was to completely re-do my original edit. Everything should be fine now. I sincerely apologize. I would recommend to anyone who downloaded the original torrent to delete it and download this one.

Got to see her play HOB in New Orleans when she was touring for "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road". I was unfamiliar with the songs, but her performance was so magnetic that I connected with the songs immediately. One of the most memorable shows I've seen, ever. How fantastic that she went out of her way to do a free show in Chicago!

Thanks so much for doing this! I am so stoked to have a copy of this show, it's my first real soundboard of a show I was at!

Edit: Also, not to nit pick, but you forgot to list Spencer in the notes on the band.

D'oh! Strange thing that he's included in my explaination, but not in the list of band members. I edited the dimeadozen post, I can't edit the text files on dime, sadly. I just fixed the dropbox text file as well.

This is so much better quality than the still fine Mt. Jam show (nice to have both until we get those two Roadcase shows)!!!
I am soooooooooooo grateful to 'Ole Col. Hapablap!!!!
Listening now & have figured out how to use winamp to burn off CD copies as well. Technically challenged- yeah, but I can use a search engine & apparently am not totally technically incompetent.
Can't wait for the album & really hoping for some release date Autumnal tour dates for the East Coast!!

Linclink, you mave the Mt. Jam show? I missed that one.

Col. I PM'd you as well, so check that out too, concerning another version of the Mt. Jam show, but, for instant gratification...here's the link to the better known NYC Taper version-
