Magnetized
I think it is going to be between the Virginia dates and the beginning of the Tweedy tour on the 19th. I'm sorry I don't have more information, but I'll try to get confirmation tomorrow. I was so excited when I got the call and the invitation on Friday afternoon, I wanted to share what I knew on here. I looked at the paramount theatre website and their calendar is open between September 8th - 12th and then the 15th thru the 18th. That synchs with the Tweedy Tour schedule and the early September Wilco commitments. Just going by what's in the Wilco Related Live Show thread, Nels is playing from Sept. 11-14 and again on the 16th, so that would seem to narrow down the possible dates to Sept. 9, 10, 15, 17 and 18. Then a couple of NYC shows right after that on the 13th & 14th would be perfect! Thanks so much for the tip! And please do keep us posted!!

Unless Nels cancels his announced shows on those dates--always a possibility, I guess--or Wilco plays without Nels, I can't see how the 12th, 13th and 14th could work. nalafej
Seems like extremely short notice to put any show on sale now for September dates. Hope I'm wrong...
otismyman
Interesting. That place is tiny.Correction on the venue - Capitol Theatre Portchester, NY. Date not yet announced but I was told in that small september window between the Wilco dates and the Tweedy dates. I guess the Nels Kline dates have to be considered also. If I find out before it is announced I'll definitely share.
RaspberryJam
That makes a lot more sense.
Magnetized
That Port Chester venue also looks pretty nice. For what it's worth, I know no more than otismyman, but I did hear that this will happen from a very reliable source. No specific dates given to me, though.
worldrecordplayer
I've been wanting to get to the Cap for a Phil show since Peter Shapiro renovated and re-opened it. A Wilco show there may be the one that gets me on the road. Unless of course they add Boston to their schedule. Two festival sets at Lockn' won't be enough for me. RaspberryJam
I agree. I've been wanting to go to The Capitol, this would be the one that gets me there.
otismyman
One of the many things I love about this band - they could play much larger venues and choose to play these smaller, more intimate locations. Rumsey Playfield (in the rain) Terminal 5, The Welmont Theatre in Montclair, Count Basie in Red Bank, and so on.
worldrecordplayer
New Tweedy dates announced, 10/1 and 10/
linclink
Just going by what's in the Wilco Related Live Show thread, Nels is playing from Sept. 11-14 and again on the 16th, so that would seem to narrow down the possible dates to Sept. 9, 10, 15, 17 and 18.I'm guessing 9/10 is the best bet now (with 17/18 possible) with it being close to the Fest shows & those dates allowing for two nights- one at The Capitol in Port Chester & I'm betting one in NYC proper... here's hoping!! Thrilled about Tweedy in Buffalo too!! One week after Ithaca as well...even though it also means I've now got to sell my ticket to St. Vincent on Oct. 1st in Columbus- any takers? At least I'll still get to see her in Cleveland on Sept. 30th!
Sandy in SFCA
Tickets in the pit just became available for Akron. Get them before the scalpers do.
Magnetized
You guys, right this minute you can still get 2nd row pit, row BBB, seat 10. If there's anyone on here going to Akron (not me, unfortunately), you should jump on this!
linclink
Two new questions....1) Does the advertised phrase "An Evening With Wilco" being applied to the recent spat of 20th Anniversary shows mean that we'll get shows similar in length & content to the last time it was used? I believe that was 2009 if I'm correct, where an "An Evening With Wilco" show meant the longest shows they've ever done (mini-acoustic sets & horn sections, etc.?). One can hope, that's for sure...a 3+ hour Wilco show, with three dozen, or more songs on the set list would be pretty amazing indeed.2) Does anyone think they might add a small group of shows (like the recent half dozen for October) eventually for both November & December. I'm betting on it. I think they'll at least do something for the 20th anniversary in Chicago in December...I'm also thinking another half dozen for Nov. & Dec. involving something on the west coast too...If they do I hope it's soon, & of course I hope for some more east coast dates (come on NYC- though with two in Port Chester I doubt it), as this would lead to a drop off in ticket prices for Port Chester. ..we...shall...see... remphish1
I am hoping since it is the 20th anniversary the evening with shows would include full performances of AM to celebrate? Wishful thinking right?
SarahC
I sure hope the "Evening With Wilco" means what we think it means for this upcoming jaunt. Surely, because it meant that back in 09-10 it will again. Because that show layout, at the Ryman would be amazing. I imagine they'll go on at 8:30 or so and be off around 11, because the Ryman's got a pretty strict 11-11:30 curfew.

SarahC
I'm trying to remember when Jeff went on there with TWEEDY in june. I know Handsome Family started around 7:45... initially the venue said Jeff would be done at 10:30, but he played until a little after 11.
downisthenewup
I wanna say he started around 8:45? Man I'd love it if they start at 7:30. More zzzz's before work in the morning. Here's to hoping we get the 3 hour sets!
thingfishp
Logged in for 10/30 pre-sale at 9:55 and already sold out? WTF?
Yaz Rock
I scored tix at 10am. Didn't see any sold out notations even after I completed my purchase.
tweety
I scored tix right at 10 a.m. today but friends were shut out immediately again; and the tickets were all sold out when I logged back in to check after completing my purchase, around 10:02. I expect that the general sale will be much easier again. Even when it works, I find the Front Gate interface extremely awkward and unpredictable.
Sam L.
Looks like tixs still available for 10-30 show at capitol theatre. Just a heads up that that is an AMAZING venue. Capacity around 1600--sound is pristine--floor slopes up and is carpeted. Nice selection of craft beers at all bars. A really nice free standing bar attached to theatre called garcia's--actually partially owned by jerry's daughter. Venue run by peter shapiro--lock'n, brooklyn bowl. You can even order drinks from your seats! I prefer the balcony but really not a bad place to be. The town of port chester is enjoying a revival--new beer garden just opened--plenty of places to eat from cheap ethnic food to tarry lodge run by mario batali. Train from nyc 5 min walk from cap. Plenty of inexpensive parking around town. Happy to answer any questions about venue or area--i live 20 minutes away and will be at cap for weds and thurs shows.Saw nels at cap sit in with phil lesh--phil is actually there 10-31 and 11-1 with unknown "special guest"--so maybe nels will sit in again. The evening with shows at the wellmont were awesome--hope this is similar format.Sam L
