I'm ready for the album announcement, the single, and most importantly, the tourdates. Let's go!

This guy might be too prolific.

A much nicer way of saying what I’m thinking.

In any case, I like the cover and I’ll obviously pre-order it the second it’s available. Probably through Kung-Fu, as I’m a glutton for punishment.

From Mojo: "I think this one is special, though, a really beautiful evolution. I'm not holding back or protecting myself, and I don't care if people think a triple record's too long. I mean, Fuck you!" he laughs. "You don't have to listen to it.."

I will say, I'm excited for a studio cut of Lou Reed Was My Babysitter, a song I think is one of the most interesting new Tweedy songs in years, as well as a 7 minute Feel Free. The latter feels like a song only Jeff could write, in the best possible way. Having seen him play it live, I recall the lyrics/delivery feeling special.

Anyway, maybe today's the day?

With all these tiny breadcrumbs and little info leaks, I'm surprised a full announcement isn't out already. A triple album though? Wowza.

(In case yer wondering about the reference, it's "....triple rainbow!"...and the happy cry, which is how I could genuinely react to this right about now, if I let myself.)

Starting a list of the potential songs that could be on the album based on things Jeff has played or has posted on Starship Casual, by no means is this comprehensive, and I realize some of these are demo names that could change, and some are things never meant to be released past Substack, and I very well may have forgotten that some of these are covers or were released in another project, all this is to say take it lightly and it’s just for fun while we wait for more news…. Feel free to add, edit or

correct….

Mine forever

Now and then

This is how it ends

Out for a walk

Cry baby cry

Enough

Blank Baby

Twilight Override

What For?

The tunnel at the end of the light

Every step

Peaceful dream

Stray cats in Spain

I know that a lot of this could be chalked up to my boredom and anticipation, but this seems a pretty strange rollout!

The Wilcoworld splash page just changed from a SBS advert to info about the summer tour... "Additional North American tour dates have been added to Wilco’s 2025 line up. There’s a lot of fun to come. Join us, take your mind off the eggs!" What?

Watching the videos that have been released.

"@Aranivah is an alternative/subculture dancer and Salvadorian immigrant teaching the world obscure dances. "

Since when was Northern Soul an obscure dance?

.

FWIW,  IMHO the flower song is more dead strings strumming, but Out in the Dark is great.

There's no Wigan Casino here.

Gone for ever. More's the pity.

My favourite rugby league team too in the 90s. One of the greatest 'teams' of any sport ever.
