Happy birthday dude. Of course, I could have posted this in any of these threads.

Ending the Iraq War ought to accomplish that nicely. -

Obama and Hillary tied at 7 apiece. I'm proud to say that both Huckabee and Romney matched me on zero answers. -
I'm not going to link to the previous thread(s) about this (I'm sure someone will), but I will offer the same recommendation I've offered before: Fostex T50RP Amazon's price is pretty good ... though you might want to check around a bit. These are not noise-cancelling headphones, but they fit completely (and comfortably) around your ears and block out a lot of noise that way. They also sound great. I'm not sure how long I've had my pair -- at least four years, I'd say -- and they're good as new and still sound great. If you're plugging them into a small jack (1/8", I think?), make sure

I haven't watched it yet. Did someone double-dip a chip? -
She's playing the Magic Bag in Ferndale on April 6, but I don't think I'm going to be able to go.

If Crede is healthy, maybe not. He can be a borderline-dominant player when he's healthy and hitting. His back does make him a question mark, however. Lowry's stats might suggest that he had a bit of trouble with control last year (walks up, strikeouts down). I don't know much about him ... is he a blazing-fastball guy, or what?

Whiskeytown - Strangers Almanac [Deluxe Edition]

I love (most of) Ryan's solo material, but he's still not made a record that I treasure like I do Strangers Almanac. -
Yup, I understand that. And I don't mean to curtail the ongoing discussion. My initial post was just my way of saying "I can't wait for something else to happen." Just sour grapes on my part, mostly. I like to talk about baseball too, but I don't have a horse in this particular race.

I have no problems with people discussing "trades." The discussion here has been about only one trade. That's your right ... I just prefer when there's also something else in the mix. That's how the offseason goes, and I understand that. Y'all are perfectly entitled to discuss the Santana trade as much as you want (3+ pages now, exclusively except for one post about the Orioles). All I'm saying is that I can't wait for something else to happen, because this trade isn't even official yet and it's already been beaten to death. Carry on. I'll check back in if/when there's something else to ta

I can't wait for another trade (or anything) to happen so we can talk about something (or anything) else. Just my $0.02.

Kilpatrick has put so many friends and relatives on the city payroll, a family reunion in his old neighborhood would empty out the city offices. Corruption takes on many forms, and hooking up your blood and buddies with jobs is just one of them.

Nice use of the search function, by the way.

Why don't you start one?

We're talking "favorites" rather than what I think are the ten best records, so here's that list as it stands today (tomorrow it would be different): alphabetical order (I couldn't rank these if I tried)... Centro-matic - Fort Recovery The Clash - London Calling Ted Leo/Pharmacists - The Tyranny of Distance The Posies - Frosting on the Beater Sand Rubies - s/t Spoon - A Series of Sneaks Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run Stiff Little Fingers - Go For It Whiskeytown - Strangers Almanac Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot When I made my first cut for this list, there were 42 albums on it.

I just wanted to quote that in all its glory.

Las Vegas is a silly place. Probably best avoided. (my opinion, obviously)

Does this surprise you? If she gets the nomination I'll vote for her ... but I won't be real happy about it.
