  1. I may go ahead with that name change to "Hugh G. Rection" now!
  2. I hear Nels plays a mean banjo of fiddle.
  3. Really? You can't understand it? Seriously? You can't understand that after eight years of George W. Bush, people might think twice about voting for a Green candidate who represents more of their personal views, opting instead to vote for a Democrat to prevent the Republicans from re-taking the White House? Sorry twobobs, but you're either bullshitting or very na
  4. Nope. Anderson's attorney denies that he ever testified before a grand jury, and has said that Anderson would never testify against Bonds at trial. He was probably released because they had indicted Bonds on that same day, and because he'd been imprisoned for over a year on contempt charges. That's not cause for indefinite imprisonment (at least I hope not). That was in 2006. Then he served over a year before being released in November of '07.
  5. That's my over/under every day.
  6. There is only one correct answer. Friday Saturday Monday Tuesday Wednesday
  7. If you want to convert the .FLV to something else, and you have an hour or two to kill (it takes a long time), there's a free online utility that does a pretty good job: media-convert.com Basically, you upload your file, it converts it to your chosen output, then you download the converted file. The upload/conversion can take FOREVER, but the results are decent and it's free. I should probably mention that this conversion will likely degrade the quality of the file even further, just so you know.
  8. I gave up on it after last season anyway.
  9. The Reader's Digest version: For the past few years, there's been a charity auction held at Second City in Chicago for Letters To Santa. Jeff Tweedy performs at the auction, and among the items sold at the auction is a private "living room" concert by Tweedy for a group of 30 people. He's done this for the past few years, and lately there have been three "winning" groups each year, so he does three shows. The amount of money raised by each group is pretty substantial. These are not cheap. From there, the groups negotiate dates with Jeff and he shows up and plays for them as arranged.

(AP) -- Kansas activities officials are investigating a religious school's refusal to let a female referee call a boys' high school basketball game. 11. It is GA. The venue has boxes up above the floor along the sides -- great view, comfortable, etc. That's what Wilco was auctioning.
  12. Yup. Here's a paragraph from an ESPN story:
  13. I have never understood the appeal of clowns. Do they even have appeal? Are clowns something we're all creeped out by, but tacitly accept because we think others like them? I believe adults seriously overestimate the appeal of clowns to children. Admittedly, I don't spend a lot of time around kids, but I've never known one (including myself, back in the day) who wasn't completely freaked out by clowns. Those fuckers are scary. Oh, and? Not funny.
  14. Maybe he could issue an executive order requiring the Bears to sign a quarterback who's worth a damn.
  15. The scene of the crime in '59. That is cool, though.
  16. I'm guessing he'll agree to the trade eventually.
  17. We're not going to post that here. Of course, you're welcome to figure it out for yourself. No.
