Yeah, I probably shouldn't admit this, but I find myself grooving to that one when it comes on the radio. p.s. - this needed its own thread? -

Was his place in that "elite" in doubt? His Uncle Tupelo output alone put him there ... and his Son Volt and solo careers have kept him there, albeit with somewhat less fanfare than Mssrs. Tweedy or Adams.

Nah, bring it on. The following are guaranteed for tonight (because they haven't been played yet): Shouldn't Be Ashamed I Thought I Held You Pieholden Suite Less Than You Think What Light

And two very different crowds. The bottom line is, if the tapers want their stuff traded only in FLAC, people should respect that. Your personal convenience in listening to it in MP3 format -- that's up to you, but only by respecting the people who record these shows for us will we even be able to have these recordings in the first place.

You did anyway. -
Interesting. So there are only five tracks remaining from official Wilco studio albums. I wonder how many others they'll get to? Some of the Mermaid Avenue stuff?

See here. 2/15 and 2/16 are up there ... I haven't checked lately, so I don't know if any of the others made it up there. -

Are people really this fucking petty, that they now have to go after people who prefer to sit? Sitting at a rock show doesn't make someone a bad person. Jesus. And no, Jeff doesn't "hate" fans who sit. He's a performer, he'd like to see everyone sharing in the energy, but "hate"? Hardly. -
OK, that's it for me ... g'night all ... I look forward to hearing a recording of this one *without* the radio morons!

Yeah, I thought something sounded off on that first pedal steel break.

I'm going with 16 nothings ... it's radio, he'll keep it to a minimum.

Hi Vanessa ... doing OK here! How are you and Mike? I'm downloading last night's show while listening to tonight's show. I think this officially makes me a Wilco dork.
-
Good to hear this one with horns. Hi all ... I only get to listen to a few songs tonight ... gotta get up at 5 AM.

If I win the Megamillions tonight, I am so bidding on this. -
I'm not really a merch/swag collector, but I have: * All the studio albums on CD, including the Mermaid Avenues. * A few bootleg live CDs with artwork of varying degrees of professionalism * SBS on vinyl (and my CD has the extra DVD) * Two posters -- one from last year's Jeff Tweedy Living Room show on 3/3 (signed and framed) and one from the Detroit show last December * I Am Trying To Break Your Heart DVD * Sunken Treasure DVD * One T-shirt * One tote bag * One "all-access pass" from the LR show * Various stickers, buttons, etc. * A handful of downloaded/burned CDs of live shows

Yeah. I was the really large guy. And that night, I was probably a blithering moron, because I couldn't hear a thing ... forgot my earplugs.

You probably don't remember, but you met me for about two seconds after a show at the Blind Pig -- probably Silver Jews. But I was suffering from temporary hearing loss and general loopiness and made myself scarce after a very brief and awkward introduction. I believe Alison was with you.
