I saw 3EB opening for the Stones on the Bridges to Babylon tour. About the only thing I'd say in their favor is that they seemed to understand how to play to a huge crowd -- for a football-stadium opening act, they didn't do too badly. That said, I was never a fan.

Seems like there are an awful lot of SEC head coaches lately who used to coach other SEC teams (Spurrier, Saban, Nutt ... and now possibly Tuberville? Did I miss anyone?). Here's where I decide not to make a joke about inbreeding in the South.

I don't want to speak for JAS Backpack, but to me that seems contrary to the whole idea, which is to pick your ten favorite songs of 2007. That shouldn't be subject to anyone else's tastes or collection, just yours. Just my $.02. There are occasional YSI mix exchanges around here for which such tailoring of playlists is actually encouraged. As for whether I'm "in" ... I'll post my ten if I get a chance, but don't pair me up with anyone. I haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet, so I have no idea if I'll find the time.

Nope, #2 is true. I was part of an audience of students on a program called "Open to Question" (hosted by Krishnan Guru-Murthy, who's now a Channel 4 news presenter) that was taped in Glasgow in fall 1988.
