Wow. That's funny. -
If you'd bet me after the 2005 World Series that Phil Garner would be fired before Ozzie Guillen, I'd have taken that bet and given you good odds... ...and lost.

Recalled Petfood being sold again at WalMart
cryptique replied to jenbobblehead's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Well, I doubt it's the actual recalled food that's being sold in the stickered packaging. It's probably a new batch, and they changed the UPC so people wouldn't be confused and think they were buying tainted food. That said, I think it would have made more sense to re-do their packaging altogether. Plus ... it's WalMart. Why would anyone shop there to begin with? There's a reason their prices are low: shitty quality. -
Are there really people who regard Drudge as a reputable source?

I knew an ex-con named Jesus once, and he wouldn't have been difficult to find.

So, we were at that Yankees-Tigers game last night ... but before that, we were still home and knew that there was a hellacious storm heading our way (it produced some tornadoes and straight-line winds of over 80 MPH in some areas), so we decided to wait at around the house until the storm passed, just in case there was any damage. After the worst of the storm passed Ann Arbor (around 7:05, when the game was scheduled to start), we decided to get on the road to Detroit. There was steady rain all the way there, but the guys on the radio kept saying that the storm cell was expected to pass by

Man, I hate it when I get haseled. -
Chicken Shack ... this album in particular: Maybe a little bluesier than you're looking for, but Stan Webb can tear it up.

To me, the tragedy was the wrecking of that car.

We're now starting to get all that stuff you Chicagoans had earlier. Thanks a pantload.

You tried to smoke a car?

Not the indoor soccer thread I was expecting.

How ridiculous is it that Wes Littleton was actually credited with a save in that 30-3 game?

I've only been to the Fox once, to see Elvis Costello & The Attractions in '96, but it's a gorgeous venue. Lots of Little Caesars Pizza money went into that renovation, and it was well spent. Damn, might have to go to this show if I can get decent tickets.
