Neither do I.

OK, correct me if I'm wrong here, but in the past haven't we seen Patsy (who was in the car with Sil) talking to the Feds? I can envision a scenario where in the final episode, Tony gets whacked, but takes out some of Phil's men in the process. Instead of being a victory for Phil's crew, Patsy becomes the witness that brings down Phil and his family for good. As for Carmela and the kids ... who's to say? Meadow will be fine, one way or another, even if she ends up marrying the disgraced Patsy's son. Carmela and A.J. are screwed up anyway -- maybe Carm will go live with her parents, or mayb

...and could also be a nod to the Housemartins. I doubt it, but you never know.

Click your heels together three times and mumble "sellout" repeatedly. You'll see one soon enough. Note: it helps to have your television on.

No, that means you don't really enjoy them now, despite what you might think. You will in seven years.

Whats your favorite "fuck you" song?
cryptique replied to junkbond_trader's topic in Someone Else's Song
Holy shit that was good. -
Barenaked Ladies mention Evan Dando and Juliana Hatfield (first names only) in the song "Jane."

You're seriously out of your league here. If you wanted to start throwing a word like "ignorance" at someone on this board, it would have been very difficult to pick a less appropriate target. Just your dumb luck, I guess. Also: if you really want to take yourself this seriously, you're going to have a hard time around here.

You're apparently watching a different show than I've been watching. The writing has been great lately.

Wow, it's been a while since we've had any artist spam around here. I had almost begun to miss it. Almost.

Thanks for posting that. I wasn't really feeling it at first, but damn, that ending was fantastic. Glenn is a god.

...though if there was some way they could lose in the Finals to a team from Florida, I'm sure they would. (Note to the Marlins: you're going to have to get crackin' if you're going to beat the Indians in the World Series this year.) Since moving to this side of Michigan, I've come to grudgingly respect these Pistons ... they're a hell of a team, and when they're going right I don't really think there's anyone who can beat them. Nevertheless, I remain a lifelong Bulls fan, and I can't help but smile a bit at the Pistons' demise. The attitude around here has been amazing leading up to thi

These things generally aren't shared in MP3.

I don't really care about the White Stripes, so I don't want to read back through the posts here, but can someone tell me if Hitler has been mentioned yet, and if so, how many posts it took to get around to that? Thanks.

OK, yeah, missed that part. Still, I doubt this "leak" will affect album sales, given the reportedly crappy quality of the rip that's circulating as a result of it. White needs to chill the fuck out.

So, a radio station plays the advance CD they were sent, and that's bad, somehow? What. The. Fuck. If you don't want it played, don't send advance copies. Better yet, if you only want the single played, only send the single, not the whole album. This is not rocket science, folks. I know there are people who'll take White's side on this, but I'm not one of them.

What Should I Read on My 22 Hour Flight?
cryptique replied to dannygutters's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon ought to take you about 22 hours. He goes off on lengthy tangents that don't seem to have much to do with the plot, but his writing is very rich and rewarding, for the most part. This one's not as good as Snow Crash or The Diamond Age, but if it hooks you, you'll not want to put it down. -
Wendy's manager shot over chili sauce

It's not required, but you most likely would need a job to be able to afford the necessary insurance to purchase those prescriptions. The U.S. healthcare system is a massive clusterfuck, and it's probably the number one drag on our economy. The sorry state of the "big three" car companies has a lot to do with rampant healthcare and pension costs. -

It's a terrific album, but I don't feel it's aged that well, especially compared to other Beatles classics. I'm a little too young to have experienced it in context -- I was born the next year -- but I've talked to lots of people, including my parents, about what a total mindfuck it was when it was released. I remember that documentary from '87 ... I'd definitely like to see that again.
