The snow has made it to southeast Michigan, though it's still fairly pathetic at the moment.

shutout? (put all the ticket/pre-sale madness stuff in here)

Were these pre-sales? If so, they probably just didn't set aside very many seats for them. edit: beaten to it, twice. -
That reminds me -- I've been meaning to quit again.

He who smelt it dealt it.

Yes, but they also have a roof. Snowstorms in April aren't that rare. They just seem bizarre after some of the unseasonably warm weather we had recently.

I was with you until you added those two gems. Way to undercut your own argument.

I bet the "E." stands for "Eat." Because they do. Ninjas, that is. Eat liverwurst. Or so I've heard.

I hear what you're saying, but fuck man, it's just three chords, anyone can do it.

I loved Stipe's vocal on that song.

There's no "Be" in the title, but yeah, I've always liked that one.

Very abrupt. I think Letterman was running a bit long (it ended at 12:36 by my clock). I believe I misspelled the song title on that video ... I keep reading it as "Plasticites" without the I between the T and the E.

YSI .WMV file (sorry), stored in a .ZIP file, around 30 MB.

Obviously you need either: ...or...

I have to agree with timbits ... that review is spot-on, in my opinion. Just goes to show how subjective this music stuff really is. For a genuinely horrible review (in my opinion, of course), try this one, which dismisses a very listenable, well-constructed album in a most juvenile and pretentious manner. True, the record may have been a slight letdown after what preceded it, but it's hardly the disaster he makes it out to be ... again, in my opinion.

If the critic, like me, couldn't stand Bright Eyes, I could see it happening.

No one asked for a direct link. YouSendIt, done via PM, is perfectly fine according to the rules of this forum.

You know what happens when you assume.

I don't even bother to read that shite-site any more.

There are great songs on "Canadian Amp" but the performances are all kind of flat. Those songs sound ten times better when she does them live. Altogether, I think I've heard six songs from that disc done live.
