I've been wondering about this too.

I consider myself to be an obsessive Wilco fan, but I really couldn't care less how they integrate the new songs into their setlists ... just so long as they play them.

This happens to me. Sometimes I push it two or three times and don't remember doing it even once.

Normally I'm a one-snooze riser, but some mornings it's two, and occasionally three. This morning was a three-snooze morning. Probably something to do with the fact that I had to get up at 4:15 to help my parents load up their car (they crashed here last night and got on the road early). Then I went back to bed, but didn't get any additional sleep. Figured as much.

It looks like my campaign to prevent the media from using the ridiculous nickname "Dice-K" has failed. Yes, I know it's based on the pronunciation of his name. It's still extremely stupid.

Rather than allowing his mistake to stand and correcting it at the bottom, he should have corrected it in the story text and then explained the correction at the bottom. Doing it the way he did, it just makes him look even more like the idiot that he probably is. I find this review hilarious anyway. This album sounds to me more like a Jeff-centered show than any of their previous ones. Yes, it's the result of a more democratic process within the band, but it's Jeff's playing and singing that dominates throughout, in my opinion. I'm not sure what this guy was listening to.

Could someone PLEASE message me the Loose Fur albums?

Then turn your FLACs into WAVs. Download the FLAC Frontend, specify a destination folder in the field at the lower right, drag the FLAC files into the list pane, and click Decode. Then you can rip your WAVs to any format you want, using any of several tools. If a file is trying to open in the wrong program, just right-click it and choose "Open With..." You should then be able to pick a program off a list or navigate to the .EXE file for that program. As previously mentioned, Winamp plays FLAC files. Mark the checkbox to always have that program open files of that type, and you're golde -

Google could probably help you with your FLAC crisis. It's not that hard. -
Barry Bonds will never be my Home Run King. Fuck that guy.

Two places come to mind that are close to The Vic, and there are probably several others that I'm forgetting. 1. Walk over to the corner of Clark and Belmont (very close to The Vic), turn north(ish) on Belmont, and go to Mama Desta's Red Sea Restaurant, which is the next thing north of the Dunkin Donuts on the corner. Great Ethiopian food, and you can order vegetarian-only items and still be quite satisfied. 2. Walk to Belmont and Halsted (another block east of Clark/Belmont), then walk two blocks north on Halsted to this place.

Had to re-rip this last night ... wasn't happy with some of the distortion in my previous rip, but now it's perfect.

I can't believe that was 1978. I remember it well. RIP, Darryl.

My feelings for Jay Farrar hatred. Or should I say, ≠. -

Yeah, I know -- there's no ASCII for it, I was kidding. I like it, though -- so much more elegant than "" -

Now there's a character I don't know the ASCII code for... -
(apparently) never before seen beatles photos

I really dug maybe two of the colorized ones, but the others were kind of pointless. The original black-and-white shots, though ... cool. If only the negatives hadn't been lost. I'm impressed with the quality that they were able to produce from the contact sheet scans, though. -
Sky Blue Sky -- high-bitrate OGG files that I produced from the FLAC rip that's up on Oink. Finally, decent sound quality.

Yup. Me too.

OK, yeah, you're probably right. But they do have troughs like that.

I'm about 99% sure that's at Wrigley.

Nazi sex slaves, or something along those lines. edit: That is, women used as sex slaves by the Nazis. The women themselves weren't Nazis.
