Yup, that's him. It's a long way from Trip Shakespeare. Thanks for your input.
-
Yeah, that's him. I picked up one of their albums several years back and enjoyed it the first time I listened to it. The second time ...

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

He's a vegetarian ... which makes it odd that one of his songs would be in Wendy's advertising...
-
That just might be worth it.

Yeah, that was way too extreme of a closeup. Regardless of what the average thirteen-year-old girl thinks, that dude is ugly. I kind of dug it, but the military drumming got old pretty quickly and I kept waiting for them to kick in to the usual tempo, which would have been an improvement.
-
I could have told him that. I'm sure many people did.

I heard that too. I guess I thought it was a commercial for something else, but yeah, it was probably Wendy's. On the bright side, maybe those guys are being handsomely paid. Maybe.
-
I was impressed with her too ... but that John Legend thing was boring.

Chad Smith played drums on that latest Dixie Chicks album. That's not quite Kelly Clarkson, but I thought it was kind of an odd pairing.

So, like ... that dude from Semisonic has a whole bunch of Grammys now. Cool.

I have no affiliation with that test site whatsoever -- merely posted a link here. So, as far as I'm concerned, link away, though you might want to see if that site has any posted policies about link exchange or whatnot.

Winamp plays FLAC files. If you're on a Mac, sorry, I have no idea. Probably best not to try to convert FLAC directly to MP3. First back them out to WAV files, and then convert those to MP3.

You've got a lot to learn, Skippy. -
My first time through.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Yup.

I think you missed the whole rest of his post.

I wouldn't call the leaked version "decidedly unmastered." Sounds pretty finished to me, though I'd like a bit more bass in the mix. Also sounds pretty awesome. Some great guitar on this record.

The shuffler has been feeling a little frisky today ... and also wanted to hear some Beatles, apparently. The Orange Humble Band - Down In Your Dreams The Beatles - Love Me Do Orange Juice - Love Sick Bill Hicks - Bullies of the World Spoon - Cut My Friend Down John Coltrane - Blue Train (alternate take) Brendan Benson - Jetlag Wire - A Mutual Friend Funkadelic - Maggot Brain The Kills - Hitched The Beatles - In My Life The Posies - I May Hate You Sometimes (live) Sand Rubies - Guns in the Churchyard Billy Bragg - A Lover Sings (live) The Beatles - I Should Have Known Better New Radian

I've done my share of linking to (or copying/pasting) Kaufman columns.

Yeah, that's why Wikipedia sucks. I did a *very* quick tabulation and came up with a figure of 1,130,332 total attendees in North America. The Stones probably do that in a couple of weeks, a month tops.

'65-66, technically (they played the first "stadium" show in rock history at Shea Stadium in August 1965 ... I found a figure of 55,600 for attendance at that show).
