  1. For a long time, I was hung up on # 19 and 24 (took a while to figure out the wording on those two), plus 30 and 31 (obscure as hell, at least to me). # 5, 9, and 22 are not really the kind of stuff I would know, and those hung me up initially as well.
  2. clicky It took me quite a while, but I ended up figuring out all 33 of these -- mostly because I had to top my brother, who was stuck at 31, last I heard. There's a bit of a hint (if anyone wants one) hidden in the box below. Not a huge hint, but it may help with a few of these. I can post answers later if there's some demand for them.
  3. "Be My Girl - Sally" Seriously, though ... it'd be cool to see them run onstage and crank out "Next To You," then drop their instruments and run back offstage. That would destroy.
  4. I doubt it'll work, but I like the way they think. http://www.wa-doma.org/ What we are about The Washington Defense of Marriage Alliance seeks to defend equal marriage in this state by challenging the Washington Supreme Court
  5. Soon we'll have to change the name of this thread to Spring Training!
  6. On the bright side, pitchers and catchers report next week.
  7. It bothers me most when an advertiser attempts to appropriate a small snippet of lyrics to fit the advertising message, regardless of the actual subject matter of the song. Several companies have used "There She Goes" by The La's to advertise products, despite it being a song about heroin use. Iggy's "Lust for Life" is another example. These aren't necessarily "favorite" songs of mine, but they make me seriously question the people behind the product. I mean, WTF? Obviously they think I'm stupid, and that's not really a way to try to sell me something.
  8. -7 right now. School is out, but my office never closes. Except when there's a power outage...
  9. It's now down to 1, and it'll go lower.
  10. Currently 7 here, with windchills below zero. Air temperatures will go well below zero overnight.
  11. You folks are my kind of people. "You folks"
  12. Well, there's your proof that it wasn't pre-recorded.
  13. I always sort (and stack) my SweeTarts. I'm always pissed when there's only one or two purple and half a dozen yellow. Sometimes there are NO purple. Grounds for a refund, that is.
  14. This thread is going to kill me. I so could go for some SweeTarts right about now.
  15. When I first saw the name "Rocco DeLuca," I thought, crap, it wasn't enough for him to be an asshole prima donna chef? Now he wants to play music? Then I realized the guy I was thinking of is Rocco DiSpirito.
  16. I figured there had to be at least one of you out there. Jess, you can have all my yellow SweeTarts. I'll mail 'em to you. Sadly, I won't be eating SweeTarts for a while ... laying off the sugar, probably until at least Easter.
  17. I've experienced that. I always figured it had something to do with how long that particular roll of SweeTarts had been sitting on the shelf. Typically I don't notice much difference, but when I do, it's the purple that are a bit softer.
  18. I voted purple, but red is often my actual favorite. Depends on which junk candy we're talking about. As for SweeTarts ... definitely purple. For some reason I don't like the red ones that much.
  19. Use the FLAC frontend to decompress the FLAC files to WAV, and then convert the WAVs to MP3. It will only take a minute or so to convert a whole album from FLAC to WAV.
  20. Winamp's shuffle feature is saving my life today. The last 25... Kate Bush - Mother Stands For Comfort Lauren Hoffman - Hope You Don't Mind Uncle Tupelo - Give Back the Key to My Heart Neil Young - There's a World Jay Bennett & Edward Burch - Talk to Me Crowded House - Sacred Cow Velvet Underground - Oh! 21. Search for "FLAC Frontend." That's the original program, and converts FLAC to WAV and vice versa. ...or are you converting to/from some other format?
