Maybe they can have some kind of reality TV show to choose a new frontman. Oh. Wait.
-
That wasn't directed at the topic so much as Fall Out Boy themselves.

You'll be fine in D.C., then. In some areas of that town it seems like there's an Ethiopian place on every corner.

Yeah, the numerical rating is a bit unfair. I'd give it 5.5, maybe as high as 5.8. Otherwise, though, I'm dismayed at how much I agree with this reviewer. Pretty much hit the nail on the head.

I agree with q23cd -- you can spend a whole day on The Mall (or rather, in the various buildings that make up the Smithsonian) and not waste your time. If memory serves, Alexandria is a place where you can get good Salvadoran food. I'll see if I can get some more specific info.

Do you prefer to remain downtown? What part of town will you be in? What kinds of food do you like? With that info, I might be able to hit up my brother and sister-in-law for some ideas.

Disagreed. Best songs? No way.

Marsupials scare me.

The more I listen, the more disappointed I get. And I wasn't looking for any kind of "Achtung Baby/YHF direction."

It would be impossible for me to express the degree to which I don't give a shit.

We watched The Departed last night. Really good, I thought, but I don't think it quite measured up to Infernal Affairs. Nicholson was superb -- my favorite role of his in several years -- and I was even impressed by DiCaprio, with whom I usually can't get past the fact that he still looks like he's twelve years old. One element where I feel it fell short of the original was in the relationship between the Sheen and DiCaprio characters -- it was much more of a mentor/father figure relationship in Infernal Affairs, which just didn't come through in this version. Consequently, the dynamic betw

What little I've seen of Joe Rogan's comedy led me to believe that he's sort of a poor man's Denis Leary, which is to say, a homeless man's Bill Hicks. That said, he didn't seem too bad.

U.S. House votes against troop escalation
cryptique replied to mountain bed's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I think the Dems shouldn't have wasted everyone's time with a nonbinding resolution. If it ain't got teeth, what's the point? People want the troops out -- let's do something about that, for real. -

And they should. Alfonseca has a habit of pouring gasoline onto fires ... and often he's the one who started those fires in the first place. Gordon is long past his prime. As for Rowand ... as a White Sox fan, I miss him -- but I wouldn't want the Sox to part with any relief pitching to get him back.

Not true. Post something in that forum and watch your postcount rise.

I hope that happens soon.

There's certainly been a lot of before-the-horse cart-putting in this thread. I plan to reserve any further comment until I actually hear the darn thing.

I don't know that Fox News actually kills them, but Bill O'Reilly certainly eats them.

I definitely agree that it's on his lesser-known songs that other artists can often shine. I really don't ever want to hear anyone but Dylan sing "Like a Rolling Stone" (just as one example).
