  1. for sure wait up and fatal wound are my favorite tweedy songs, gorgeous songs. If you wanna hear him rock uncle tupelo style, go with D.Boon or Nothing
  2. the last time he says "oh distance has no way of making love understandable" his voice breaks on the "making". it is my favorite moment in all of the wilco stuff.
  3. I think the studio version of TTIG is far superior to any live version I've heard. I've always liked the song but at times it came close to being cheesy. THe studio one has some more "bite" to it, at least to my ears and I love the lyrics to LNGCA, "if I tell you the truth, can I please be excused" is so so good.
  4. i'm really glad to see I'm a Wheel making an appearence in the last couple of setlists. i've missed that song
  5. I am just as excited for these as the wilco, so thank you very much.
  6. looks like a great show pretty similar setlist to when I saw them in milwaukee but we didnt get Chicago seemed tired last night or You can make him like you. those are two of my favorites
  7. saw them live recently, been wondering if any of there recorded stuff is good. might have to check this out
  8. thanks for the heads up I will definitly be checking this out
  9. I'm happy just to see you switched back to scarlett johansson
  10. 1) Wilco 2) bob dylan 3) the beatles 4) spoon 5) ryan adams 6) the jayhawks 7) andrew bird 8) broken social scene 9) clap your hands say yeah 10) built to spill 11) of montreal 12) Mirah 13) The Velvet Underground 14) tapes n tapes 15) the shins 16) the replacements 17) Lifter Puller 18) Great Plains 19) arcade fire 20) jack white stuff none of this is in order
  11. on my second listen now, and I am liking it more the second time around. The Underdog is pretty catchy although sounds very out of place among the spoon cannon to me. to me this record sounds closest to Girls can tell or a more electronic Kill the moonlight.
  12. I am a wilco fan, I can safely say I love this album. I dont find it any less complex, engaging, interesting, difficult, rewarding then any other wilco album.
  13. yes, yes it has I just got it, but I'm actuallly kinda nervous to listen to it. I love spoon so much and I really want this to be good but I didnt really like the ghost of you lingers, so hopefuly the rest is much better.
  14. I really really like this saw them open for Tapes n Tapes and they kicked ass
  15. I was shown this in eigth grade french, my teacher just put a piece of paper in front of the screen during the offending scene.
  16. this sounds so great. what a rocker. thanks for the link
  17. the show avaliable is the early show and it seems that the wilco song was played at the later show
  18. The Jayhawks hollywood townhall tomorrow the green grass sound of lies smile rainy day music
  19. yes but I didnt realize it until years later. damn subliminal messages
  20. bob dylan- another side of... wilco-sbs (right now, its so fresh and exciting) happy apple-please refrain from fronting broken social scene-s/t the beatles -VI (one side of this has what you doing, yes it is, dizzie miss lizzie, every little thing)
  21. I dont like it when this thread dies. heres one that I wrote you will note the similarity in the title to a wilco track, they are unrelated. shake it off the lightning in your teeth is showing and probably because of me but smiles and hugs aren't all that important and I let them go shake off whatever you show me its easy to hide late at night street lights can only reveal what's right below them so when you stand to the side I'm lost and I know you don't mean to taunt me from there ghost-like eyes can pull me in and you do it well but rain can speak its seductive sounds a
  22. this is super cool. I wish you would have done lifter puller instead, but this is close.
  23. I just got tickets for the milwaukee show which is in a super small venue, I am very excited
