very...tempted to do Friday now as well. I don't know though 3 mesmerizing Jeff solo shows within 2 weeks is gonna spoil me. Who knows when the next time will present itself, and I could suffer from withdrawal. Just LOVE these never-ending fundraiser shows though... almost made Champaign feel "short"

Don't get too excited yet kids... I think ANYONE can create a listing like this, for the sole purpose to be notified if the product becomes available (to the masses, not third party) in the future. I've seen similar listings for Star Wars and Indiana Jones on Blu Ray, both of which have no tentative release date announced.

With vinyl, the subject is kind of a slippery slope...especially if the original pressing was a limited release or under a different record company. Of course production of new albums could always include a subtle difference between the first press and re-release as well. My Morning Jacket just re-released their first 3 albums on vinyl limited to 1000 copies, needless to say they didn't last too long at most places. The demand is definitely there for Wilco as well as other bands, I think its moreso a case to case situation on how logically possible it is to get done.

Everything in their catalog pretty much has been released on vinyl, unfortunately quite a few of those albums are OOP. I've always kept wishful thinking alive that they may re-release at the very least Summerteeth and AM someday, I'd really kill to own those records. Being There on 180gram has also become an extremely difficult find. The common U.S. release of BT has nowhere near the sound quality of the import 180g. Even Yankee and Ghost are not as easy to find as they once used to be.

Anybody have some decent pics from this show? I took maybe about 7-8, but I think they turned out all sorts of blurry with first look on my camera yesterday morning. I forgot to bring it into the office today.

Damn, I knew we should have gone to Radio Maria's for some dinner before the show! Decided to enjoy a few frosty bevs at the hotel beforehand instead with a quick stop over at Murphy's. The show was most excellent. One of the most behaved crowds I have seen for a Tweedy show, you could hear a pin drop during any song. Great Lake Swimmers were fantastic, very much looking forward to their new album. Jeff's set was well what can I say.... flawless. I requested One By One on wilcoworld, so felt very fortunate to hear that out of the gate. I gave a simple call for Family Gardner and Scre

I almost fell off my chair at my desk when I heard it... they mentioned it right after playing "Walken" and then preceeded to say that last year's residency was chosen by XRT listeners as the best concert(s) of the year in the annual listener poll.

The $250 tickets are considered "Gold Circle" tickets which do in fact have reserved seating. My guess it you will be in the 5th row from stage with that seat location posted. This is a special reserved section right in front of the stage aside from the rest of the general admission areas.

They just mentioned something about this happening again on XRT, and to stay tuned to the Wilco webs for details?? Anybody else hear anything?

Jeff Tweedy solo tour winter 2009?
watchtower41 replied to Three dollars and 63 cents's topic in Just A Fan
Thanks for these great suggestions... may have to check out a few of these places pre/post show. Any other good restaurant suggestions besides the normal bar fare? We are staying off Neil St (which I'd assume is the main strip for hotels) but it's been a while since I've been down to U of I so just looking for some options. Can't wait! for no snow -

Y'all see they are taking requests for this show now on the main Wilcoworld page? One BY One -
REJOICE and be glad!

This is so weird, I just pulled up $150 tickets at 11:45
-
Looks like no tickets available for either show?
-
Still nada?
-
$24 I think

Damnit, I want it. Makes no sense that it's been out for over a year and now Fat Possum has it listed to be released in 2009? Maybe they are gonna release a full show? I gotta find me a copy of that, never even knew it was out. Thanks for the recommendations on the Deluxe edition, I picked it up yesterday at Best Buy (they had it filed under Andrew ) liking both Noble and Creatures thus far, and where I successfully removed the discs without ripping, I ripped the shit out of the case removing the liner notes in the middle.

Ok, for someone on the fence... don't wanna buy both. Deluxe Edition or LP? Keep in mind, I havent heard either yet, but I am a AB completeist.

On the Montessori website with all the info, it clearly states $100 general admission will go on-sale Tuesday (today) via ticketmaster. They claim this info came from Sue as well... I'm not upset, and obviously I've read all the posts here, but it has been a tad bit confusing with trying to clear the time to grab tickets. http://leahj.blog-city.com/jeff_tweedy_at_..._montessori.htm Edit: Now just updated that $100 tickets will go on-sale Friday
-
Sorry I missed that... thought the $100 tickets went on-sale today judging by the previous posts
-
Still no $100 tickets?
-
How is this album? Also, how did you get it already? I was just looking on the Fat Possum website and it says "Coming Soon in 2009" for Live in Montreal, with no option to buy or pre-order? Really wish there was a Useless Creatures option in the LP. I would have happily paid for a Limited Ed LP. Kinda torn now.... the 2 disc or records?? Love me some Bird on vinyl.
-
$100 general admission are not available until next Tuesday.

I don't care what color the lettering is, but I need me a six pack of that! and it's a Premium! Can it get any better?

Last year was the best Jeff solo show I've seen out of 5+, I vowed to never miss one of these benefit shows at the Vic ever again. Perfect venue for Mr. Tweedy. Even with the Champaign show a few weeks ahead of these, I'm thinking I won't have any problems with getting motivated for more. Now the problem that lies within, all these hot tickets to worry about tomorrow.... first Andrew Bird... now Tweedy at the very least it will keep me warm Can we buy these at the Vic box office too to avoid ticketmaster charges?
