  1. I'm willing to bet Jeff won't let that happen.
  2. I guess whats really surprising, is there is no mention about eventually going back on tour or any hope whatsoever for future dates. Sucks. All the best to Meg though.
  3. I don't know, they never have had any of these rules for the Taste of Chicago or even the Decemerists show, to the best of my knowledge.....
  4. Just noticed, no recording equipment allowed either?? Now, that truly would be a bummer. Cooulnt imagine why they woulding allow taping, unless of course it is for some type of official release in the future? Arguably Wilco's biggest show in Chicago ever, and we may not have access to a tape of it. Anyone planning on taping stealth?
  5. Nice little gem just came on..... Box Full of Letters at 2:50 what I wouldnt give to hear that next Wed.
  6. Last song I heard was Theologins right before noon, but havent been paying close close attention here at work. They shold be bumping out 2-3 per hour lol
  7. I see only 1100 according to the link and theatre set-up. Wow, that's about a small as youre gonna get these days with Wilco. Should be a GREAT show, I'm surprised tickets are not limited to students.
  8. No , I wouldnt be worried quite yet. Ususally you'll recieve tickets from musictoday anywhere from 7-10 days before the acutal show date. I know its cutting it close, but its supposed to take away the convience of having the tickets early for scalpers.
  9. I think the better news here is this is a pretty good indication that these shows won't be cancelled, of course anything could change... but great news if in fact Nels is getting over the itch.
  10. With the stress put upon everything having to be at least 180g now-a-days, youre probably right. Buying vinyl has become too much of a phenomenon, many people that buy records dont even have player to listen to them, soely collecting for future values.
  11. I believe My Morning Jacket is already on their 3rd and last pressing of Okonokos 4 LP set. I'm betting KT 4 LP set would sell really well for a $40.00 pricetag.
  12. Fantastic weekend at Lollapalooza, and where I certainly missed the fellas being there this year, for the most part, the concerts were fantastic. Many of you probably know or heard the Blisters were playing Kidzapalooza again this year on Saturday, I didnt get a chance to go over there to check them out, but Cold War Kids made a pretty cool reference on how its so neat to go to a festival like this and meet so many artists and whathaveu, at what point they mentioned that they met Jeff earlier that day and couldnt be more thrilled about the introduction....."just incredible to meet him" Nathan
  13. finally got off my lazy azz, and got around to ordering the 180g Being There, and all I can honestly say is WOW. Unbelievable re-pressing from the master tapes. If any hardcore Wilco vinyl collector does not yet have this import, I highly reccomend trying to grab this one, before they become obscure all together. The U.S. pressing of "Being There" isnt too easy to find as it is, the 180g is near impossible, but elusive disc does have a few left in stock. Forget the 29.99 pricetag, this is worth it all day long...the way it was meant to be heard. Anyways, even though its a good several mon
  14. Usually 20$ and yes, they usually do have a poster holder of some sort for them. The print run tends to differ for each show though.
  15. Sometimes for a big show they'll print up a specific shirt for that show(s). Here is the last one they did for the Auditorium Theatre shows last November. They probably still have alot of these left because the design of the shirt isnt all that, I doubt they sold too many. But usually if they do a special edition shirt for the merch stand, its one of the first things to sell out along with the limited ed posters. http://wilco.shop.musictoday.com/Product.a...&pc=WCCT108
  16. I didnt go to the Decemberists show, but from what I heard it was a mob scene, and probably would have been A LOT worse if not for the bad weather looming. This show will be somewhat different in that its actually a paid event, and they will have barriers or fences of some sort. That being said, yeah I'd expect the park to be pretty full that day. Also, I'd be willing to bet they'll have a merch stand there, a poster has already been confirmed, and they might even do a venue shirt as well (hope)
  17. No worries, this show is gonna have HUGE demand not only because this is one of the first major rock concerts at this venue (this is the city's billion dollar baby) but even moreso because this will be Chicago's lone show for the Sky Blue Sky Summer Tour, supporting Wilco's most commerically released album to date. Hype has been surrounding this show ever since early rumors started popping up in Spring. People thought it was even too good to be true since Radiohead got denied in their request to play there. There is such a thing to overhype a particular concert, but this night will be speci
  18. Not sure if thats sarcasam, but yeah, I'd expect this to sell-out in less than 5 minutes.
  19. Seriously, I'd say the best bet is heading down to the Vic really late Friday night/early Saturday morning. Its a LONG wait outside, but its as close to a guarantee that youre gonna get for this show. I had every intention of doing this is if didnt score something yesterday or Friday in the pre-sales.
  20. Well as of right now, this is the only pair available anywhere. No pairs have even shown up on ebay yet, but with these being 4th row, I wouldnt be surprised (even for that price) if theyre gone before Saturday's tickets go on-sale. Like it or not, this is pretty much going to be billed as the biggest Wilco show ever. As it is, its pretty damn difficult to sell tickets through any band that uses musictoday pre-sale... they have a good working system and where its not sclaper-proof (and what is?) this is the reason why we all get our tickets only a mere week before the show. Then again, the
  21. Early price(s) from a scalper for this show: http://www.stubhub.com/wilco-tickets/?ticket_id=97772725 WOW. Though as shocking as this early price is, I could see there becoming an even bigger demand. 3000 pavilion tickets for 30,000+ Chicago Wilco fans dying to see Sky Blue Sky live. Demand for these tix are gonna be just as bad as Radiohead at Auditorium.
  22. Usually I get screwed with these types of pre-sales, but somehow, someway I managed to pull 2 tickets 105 Row X Just when I was ready to pull an all-nighter outside the Vic on Friday night... thank u wilco magic
  23. I would much appreciate a quick pm as well, that is if there is one. I've emailed wilco ticketing at least 3 times since Monday, but no such return for any password for this show. Kinda weird didnt Dallas have a seperate password?
