  1. speaking of which, that recording never did surface from last January at the Vic correct? May very well been the best solo show I've seen from Jeff. I smile everytime I see the guitar playing frog poster hanging in my bathroom... incredible night. I know there were a couple tapers there, but there was a quick demand for that show from some newbies that may have not known better. Here's hoping it shows up someday
  2. Amazon Canada does however still have it scheduled for release on Jan. 20th. Makes me wonder if this is delayed indefinitely for here now in the U.S. At any rate only $27.95 CAN for the Blu Ray version, comes out to $23.69 converted. Not too pricey to import at all, me thinks I will go pre-order a copy now. http://www.amazon.ca/Wilco-Trying-Break-He...9819&sr=8-1 Also, I suppose it goes without saying that the new concert dvd that Wilco is releasing will NOT get the Blu treatment? Tis a shame.
  3. Well good things happen to people who wait...figures since I usually have no patience whatsover, but was able to grab a pair in Row E after about 100 refreshes. Things well again
  4. Had 4 in row J in my cart, the site updated and poof theyre gone. FUCK!
  5. I like it, and though I have no idea how this will turn out, I think the fellas are gonna be presently surprised on the upgrade. Love me some Blu Ray.
  6. That's too bad, you are missing out on the best of both worlds.
  7. This is not a knock on you, Wilco, or anybody else for that matter, but I'm gonna take it for granted that you havent seen a movie on Blu Ray. It's all good, most people have not besides seeing a few minutes within a store. For starters, there has yet to be a Blu Ray released that doesnt look better than it's standard definition(480i) dvd counterpart. Grain does not equal low resolution, and when a film is transferred to Blu Ray it is treated with the the highest resolution (1080p) allowing for shaprer and more vivid imagery, videos that will "pop" of the screen. This also has the ability
  8. right, and it's easy to understand why they are pissed if they did not have to give permission, but to think this film is not gonna look or sound better is being somewhat ignorant. Of course I don't know the underlying issues here, but they should be psyched, this is gonna do a lot for them by reaching out to people that may have not heard that much out of them before. This will be a day 1 buy for me without a doubt. What does this have anything to do with McCain?
  9. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog...-save-your.html This has caused quite a bit of stir up over at Hi Def Digest http://forums.highdefdigest.com/high-defin...ur-blu-ray.html After reading the article, it seems like the fellas are more pissed that it is being released without their consent and the upcharge of doubling the pricetag. Perhaps they won't recieve royalties either? Maybe Jeff is so sick of the references from this film, he loathes the fact that it is being brought to attention again? One thing is for certain, "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" will no doubt look and s
  10. They need to be on the Friday Night Lights soundtrack. Hell, they cuold put 3 or 4 Wilco songs on there.
  11. I agree with everything you say here, I'll just go ahead and add onto #4.... a re-release of the out of print vinyl albums, specifically A.M. and Summerteeth.
  12. DA TOTAL PROS!!! Thanks for your contributions to the shows over the past week, as well as lobbying to get added to even more songs!!! You made an already special occasion, that much more memorable. Look forward to seeing more from you guys in the future!
  13. As I sit here at my desk at work replaying in mind all that was over these past 6 days, I can't ignore the fact of how lucky and fortuante I feel to have attended in what I can best sum up as the best week of music in my life. Seeing one of the top live bands in the world, at the pinnacle of their musical career's over 5 magical nights is something I will never forget. The experience was nothing short of incredible, the fellas didnt just meet expectations, but completely went above and beyond even the biggest "fanatic's" wildest dreams. We have all just made history indeed. So thank you W
  14. truly my highlight of last night's show, I really really HOPE they bust this again tonight. It sounded perfect with DA Total Pros.
  15. I'm not sure I could line-up in weather like this if Jesus came back himself and was performing with the fellas tonight. I guess that's the differences with "fan" and "fanatic"
  16. ...and the hits WILL keep coming Really hoping for "Lets Not Carried Away" and hopefully a nice full crowd participation of "Thanks I Get" on Wed.
  17. Looking at the list, even though it's hard to imagine, the best may very well be still to come. That being said, does anyone think they'd bust a few staples like ITMWLY, ITTBYH, Jesus Ect., Walken every night of the run? I certainly wouldnt mind, certainly the fellas needed to assume that most fans are not fortunate enough to hit up all the shows, if any.
  18. First off welcome to the board, Wow, first Wilco show on the last day of a 5 day residency, you are certainly in for a treat. There will be a line outside before the doors open at 6ish, as there has been one for the two previous shows. I havent got down there early before the doors opened on either night, but on Friday I got there about 45 minutes before the show started and was able to secure a decent seat in the balcony with my dad... near the top, but great center view. Everything on the main floor is standing GA. Hope you enjoy your first wilco experience!
  19. Not so sure about being properly rested, but can't wait to crank it up again. I'm thinking tonight will be heavy "Summerteeth" material, but one thing is certain... WILCO will continue to rock the Riv out all week long.
  20. great point. I ordered my Louisville poster directly through J Lackey, those were not individually numbered, and I don't think these from the Residency are either. J Lackey did sign the posters that I ordered from him, which I thought was great. He did a great job of keeping them pristine condition with shipping too.
  21. I was told 115 posters will be available each night.
  22. Spiders (Kidsmoke) featuring KanYe West
  23. CONGRATS!!! I think its awesome that a "die-hard" fan won, like you seem to be. Because youre from NY, and probably hate hockey, or most certainly the Blackhawks, and would rather visit our beautfil city on Sunday, I just might know somebody that could relieve you of the stress on going to that game on Sunday
  24. I'm definitely gonna feel comfortable taking the under on this one. I havent been this jacked for a concert to start in sometime. Just hoping I dont exhaust all my energy before the show(s), I am gonna have to really pace myself or I'll turn to jello before Sunday brunch even gets here. But anywho since we are wasting time at work today how about some setlist guesses for night 1?? Here is my show, a nice good momentum builder for the rest of the run, with a proper dash of everything....
