Absolutely. When they played the entire "Get Behind Me Satan" album at Auditorium Theatre last time through (that album was literally their entire regular set before encores) really showcased the flexibility they have in comparing the studio material into live. Watching Jack changing instruments in the middle of a litt'l Meg riff was incredible to see....that guy is all over the place on stage.

Yeah, I'd have to agree that Carter could probably run circles around Glen in terms of raw talent, just not playing for Wilco. Glenn is perfect to Wilco just as Beauford is for dMb.

thats still pretty damn impressive after week 3, especially considering that this album has been available for listening for months.

Quite confident that these will be the shows of the summer.

Currently #4 on amazon, with the cd/dvd combo chiming in at #22 I dont know that Billboard would list the releases as seperate entities as amazon does, but nevertheless, this should easily the best first wek debut success Wilco has ever enjoyed.

I'm sure they jsut sold a lot more than they originally intended to. The enitre album on cd is a pretty nice bonus, I know quite a few freinds that don't even own a record player, that bought the lp anyways.... and why not?

I never really knew Wilco had any official "singles" Obviously we know they don't release them on their own, but as far as "radio hits" I think their closest effort would have been "Jesus Ect."??

maybe its just becuase I'm really hoping for it, but I'd like to think Impossible Germany has a pretty decnet chance. At least it one of their more road tested songs, Walken would be too long. Why is it being taken for granted that What Light? would be the favorite?? Because XRT plays it as their single?

I don't remember there being any conflict with student ID's at the Jeff solo show a couple years back, I know my friends and I certainly were never asked for any ID's, though that wasnt sold-out and I'm sure they'll make more of an effort to limit that this time around.

Elton John played Pritzker last summer, but this was for a private function for Allstate insurance. The main problem with booking major acts at Milennium is the foilage. Can't expect the city to ruin their brand new mutli billion dollar park by allowing thousands of inconsiderate concert-goers there. The biggest factor on why we wont see anything big there anytime soon: 2016.

They should play in Chicago the same night as Sun Volt. Havent posted in here for a couple weeks, does it come as a big surprise that Wilco is NOT doing Lollapalooza this year?? Really kind of over the line-up this year. For whatever reason, I thought Wilco would be close to a lock to return, along with a White Stripes headliner. I guess we'll have to settle for just some more auditorium shows ho hum

The show at The Riv last Friday was fantastic. I was a little unsure with him playing at a much bigger venue, but the new album is outstanding live. Standing room only, I don't think I've ever seen the Vic that FULL. Missed out on Dr. Stringz, but was lucky enough to obtain Andrew's handwritten setlist.

So not only has musictoday failed to give away any prizes yet, even though they urged to pre-order early to get in on the drawings.....but now they are bending over any fan that did pre-order within the first couple weeks. I have to admit, this is a bit shady. Coming from musictoday, doesnt surprise me one bit though. They should have all the LP orders grandfathered in with the dvd

I was always under somewhat of the impression that "Summerteeth" on vinyl had alternate versions of the tunes on that album?? Maybe just a few tracks?? Any difference between vinyl and cd?? Nevertheless, this would be outstanding if this was ture.

If anyone could be so kind with a favor and pm me the link for the mp3's or the stream, I would greatly, greatly appreciate it. I've been without a computer for like a week and a half here, and I had no idea about this. Rest assured, I will be purchasing the cd (probably several) and vinyl come May.
