Where did you see that Ankiel's doctor's prescription was obtained illegally?
-
I understand where you're coming from but I think this different (and maybe I just want this to be different). McGwire, Bonds, Canseco et al cheated by using an illegal substance in the back room of a local gym. To me, Ankiel's doctor recommend the HGH and that makes it much different. Why did this come out on the day he hit two homers with 7 rbi's? Why wasn't anyone else fingered by this reporter? Here's a blog from Bernie of the Post Dispatch... It

JD is one of my favorite players...we got Adam Wainwright and Jason Marquis (for 3 seasons) for him!!

When did Ankiel lie? His doctor prescribed it thru a pharmacy during his rehab before much was even known about HGH.

I wish you were going Sunday and Monday too!!

Stan The Man Musial was a great pitcher in the minors before an arm injury.

I'm excited about the draft!! The Blues have 3 first round picks and 4 in the top 40! Only 65 minutes to go!!!

Hey, my Cardinals scored in the first inning last night (second time this season!) Yeah! And Duncan hit a home run (first for the team since Dunc hit one on May 1st). Thank god for the NL Central! We'll be there in the end!!

I thought Aerosmith was great as FVB, but that was back when I was like 14 and before they went into rehab.

I had a dresser with an attached mirror. I put his football card up there next to Bob Gassoff, the St. Louis Blues tough guy who died the previous year in a motorcycle accident. Never a fan of Tatum and I sure hated him after that! It was cool to hear of all the good things he did after that...RIP

I may try to hit the Oregon shows. I want to go out there in May anyway, and since I'll be in NOLA for Jazz Fest, that would be the first weekend I could go, but it might be pushing it. Urgh!

That was great to see! Thanks! I love playing that Pelham Al show from 4/20/91...some improv piano playing there too.!

P Dub replied to solace's topic in Someone Else's Song
That was cool!! They're playing the same time as the Rebirth Brass Band in NOLA at the Jazz Fest. Shit! I'll go with Calexico b/c the Rebirth set will be for sale and I'm catching them a few times in the clubs that weekend. I have a couple Calexico shows I taped if anyone wants cdrs... -

First two shows so far on the spring tour to date, the first show had Bob on electric guitar for the first 7 songs and the second had the first 5 songs. Then it was back to the electric keyboard for the remainder of the show. I hope this keeps up...really missed his playing. I'd like to see the return of the acoustic set, but I'll take this for now!

I didn't really know much about them before I saw them at Jazz Fest in NOLA 2006...and later in StL 8/06. I thought they were great live! It's cool they stayed together for so long...

Since 1967, The Blues have been right up there with Philly as far as a solid fanbase. Things started to unravel in 2003-4 when they fired Coach Quennville...then the lock out...then the selling off of key players for the pending sale of the team...missing the playoffs for the first time in 25 years...then the sale...then the new owners bump tix like 10% for a rebuilding team...however the team has drawn MUCH better since the Murray came on board, almost a sellout Saturday night. JD will get this right and soon, and the fans believe this. With lots of cash to spend in the offseason, I really
