  1. Maybe, at least now, there is a better chance of them releasing a bunch of $85.00 tickets.
  2. More press about the house. http://www.suntimes.com/entertainment/20424032-421/muddy-waters-home-rollin-and-crumblin-in-north-kenwood.html
  3. So how's was the show? Looks like you got to see a Can't you hear me Knocking, too. Was offered a Monday ticket, but I passed, proberly will be kicking myself.
  4. My pick would be Wilson, too. Pretty straight forward song. If it's a house party and the are requesting Phish, they should be familar with the tune and be able to participate, which might be fun.
  5. Definitely! Don't know how to do the dropbox stuff, but would be happy to get the discs. I did participate in some vines last year though the HIttin' the Web site, so I do have some Allmans - when I get home, I will shoot you a PM with what I got and we can set up a trade or something (if I have something that you don't have.)
  6. Since I managed, thus far at least, to skip the latest 77 Dead box set - I may end up getting this one. I do not have any live Allman Brothers from this era, either - so it will all be pretty new to me.
  7. With regards to the Recovery Act, the below is a nice read.
  8. I never listened to Brothers and Sisters all the way through. Looks likes a good set.
  9. I saw Beth Orton perform in the late 90's - it was pretty good from what I remember. Cassidy would be a good song choice.
  10. Just got the below email - Guess Weir is all good - Great, great news.
  11. Really nice version of Throwing Stones on the 10.9.84 show.
  12. XM is playing an audience recording from The Centrum on 1984-10-09, only half way through the 1st set - good stuff thus far. 14 sources at the Archive.org - never seen a show with so many sources, before.
  13. Decided to go the Son Volt show ---- it was a very tough call. Still need to make to the Constellation venue.
  14. Never thought I ever be in IRDB's corner, but regarding the 1981 Rockpalast show - kinda endless vamping that never goes anywhere when Pete was on stage - I haven't watched in quite sometime, though - perhaps another viewing is order.
  15. I saw REM/Wilco show in 2003 - it was in September, so we figured it would get chilly at night , but we didn't quite expect mid 40's, though - luckily we were pretty prepared. Saw lots and lots of people with flasks... Great place to see a show. We drove up to the venue the day before the show to check it out, the venue was wide open to the public - people were using the venue stairs to exercise as I was to doing my best Bono impersonation on the stage.
  16. Like I probably already stated - I only caught them, starting in 89, when the passed through the Chicago area - during the 2nd night of the 94 show, I couldn't wait for the 2nd set to end. I told myself after the show, I would take a break. The last minute I decided to go to the 95 run - glad I did, in hindsight.
  17. You gotta watch out for the trombones when in the pit - so who knows, perhaps he did wear one.
  18. I guess lots and lots of people who played with Miles Davis; I suppose most notably - Coltrane.
  19. That's my favorite - LA Woman is close behind. I haven't listened to either in ages.
  20. Who's the person? In grade and high school, I use to listen to the Doors a ton - not so much anymore. Didn't realize he had cancer.
  21. As far as political discussion goes, my favorite segment is Brooks and Shields on Friday's PBS's NewsHour.
  22. It was a lot of fun - I around 10-13 when i was going to that track. I knew a guy who was the head mechanic of a driver who always drove there, so I was always able to go to the pits after the race, which was always cool (of course, perhaps they let anyone in there, I don't know.), especially when the ARTGO Series was passing through. I'm pretty sure I have a couple of pictures with Trickle. Also, it was pretty much a drunk fest after the races in the pits...
  23. That's kinda cool - above.
  24. Someone up'd the Dylan/Dead rehearsal on dime, I misplaced mine a long while ago - The Ballad of Ira Hayes is great (sure sloppy, but great none the less) About 20 seconds into the song: Dylan "Like church, this is like church" ---- Jerry (maybe) "church? ..... organ". And after a measure or two the organ enters. Perfect. Great direction by Dylan.
