Well that sucks.

Is the Wolfgang site no longer free? I tried to stream this morning and it wouldn't let me - a subscription page popped up.

Don't want to cause another Taking a viachicago break thread, but what do you dislike about it - I always think it's good that he plays newer stuff, which songs did you think he should have dropped? -
Often I think that's why he is always introduced as "Columbia recording artist - Bob Dylan" - the record company gets a plug on each boot/tape.
-
I should have wrote typical taping (mic's on stands out in the open, etc.). I have a crap load of Dylan tapes, probably too many. I am sure a tape made by a stealth taper will appear eventually. I think Suites tapes every now and then - maybe he taped it.
-
Yeah, I just read that - that's pretty cool. I'm guessing since Dylan is on the bill, taping will not be allowed.

From another board. -
Bet remphish has.

I didn't think it was too scathing - just ho-hum --- kinda like the show I saw in Chicago a couple of weeks ago - the new album is decent enough, but I like American Central Dust better - though, I guess it's kinda hard to compare the two. I do agree with below - Edwards seem completely bored in Chicago. Plus, I mistakenly thought it was Bryson on the drums in Chicago - actually I feel better knowing it wasn't.

Just listened to Wilco's SS's Ripple - yeah Jeff pretty much mangled the lyrics - music was decent enough, though.
-
Gary did talk about that a bit -- I guess Jeff flubbed some lyrics (I haven't had a chance to listen to Friday's show, yet) during Ripple. Gary did say that Solid Sound is still the best fest going and that Wilco is the best live band going, too. (I don't that he has converted Gans, though.)

Never realized they had a 4 night run at Berkley before the Veneta shows - need to check them out. An early 80's show for the PIck would be great. The first 15 minutes or so on this week's XM's Tales show was about this year's Solid Sound Fest - Gary Lambert, who is a huge WIlco fan, called in briefly to talk about the fest.

I think remphish posts daily (or least every other day)in the Live! Tonight! thread - one would think he would have gotten some flack from this forum or any other forum for his thoughts on any given show - esp. since he goes to a shit ton of them. To each their own - if you like a show, great - if you don't, great. Obviously some posters can be a be dick with their responses - at times it's the Wild, Wild West - so be that, too. I was always amused to see all the shows he goes to, especially now since I hardly get out anymore.

Maybe TP can leave us with a picture or something... The Live! Tonight! thread is going to take a hit.

Not to mentioned the sexual assaults in Europe by GI's --- but war is war --- there is no good war.

I think my softball team could sweep the Sox this year - ugh!

A nice, quaint town, too. The use to make a Belgium Red Ale that was fantastic - haven't seen it awhile, though. A couple of weeks ago I passed through WI on the way to MN and bought a bottle of New Glarus Serendipity - a bit like the Belgium Red, but not nearly as good. They use to distribute to the Chicago area in the late 90's - but I think they got a little over their skis with production and they pulled out. I take that back - see below - the distributor laws in Illinois has always been f'd up.

My favorite, too -- followed by Stone IPA

In 1989, a Stones' Start Me Up opener sounded perfect. Also, always enjoyed a Hell in a Bucket opener.

Chicago has become a brewery boom town over the last few years. I recently moved to Flossmoor, IL (south suburb) - we have our own Flossmoor Station Restaurant and Brewery. Really tasty brews and food. Also just over the border in Munster, IN - there is Three Floyds Brewery (the beer geek Mecca)

The bold seems a bit of heroism to me. Curious to know if you would call the police first, then head over to your neighbors or would head over there first, deal with it, then call police?

http://viachicago.org/topic/49021-jt-talks-backstage-at-bonaroo/ Not sure if you heard the above interview in the link - Tweedy mentioned that they didn't get a sound check (unlike Sir Paul). Perhaps he had doubts himself. I am guessing most bands don't get a sound check in a festival setting. I missed the Wilco webcast - the only webcast I saw was Gov't Mule - they sounded great.

Below is link to the Suntimes blog post regarding the Kickstarter Campaign http://voices.suntimes.com/arts-entertainment/the-daily-sizzle/muddy-waters-house-kickstarter-campaign-launched/ Video Oddly enough, I am listening to a Stones boot of their Chess Studio recordings as I post this.

For the time being at least - the latest Weir Here - missed it the first time around - nice Black Throated Wind opener - also nice to see Wasserman.

I was joking. Should have used a smiley face or something... I am planing to use her bean burger recipe for my Father's day lunch, this weekend.
