Luckily, I checked it out from the library --- it is a bit funny that in the spine of the book shows the hands of Jerry and Steve, passing a joint to each other, a young kid sees that in his public library and it's down hill from there.

Been using the Shows on this Day in History feature the Archive lately - listening to the 2/7/78 show now - never heard it before, it's a pretty good show. Really good audience recording, too - plus it's Kreutzmann's B-Day. http://archive.org/details/gd1978-05-07.fob.glassberg.motb.83498.sbeok.flac16 On another note, I am about 20 or so pages from from finishing Parish's book -- kinda is a dumb book, wish he would wrote more about the technical side of things a bit more. Loosing his whole family in the car wreck was a bit brutal, though. Dude, really enjoyed his nitrous, too. If he wou

I was going to ask how does Lionel Richie fit in with the above schedule, but I guess he has a new duet country record out? Do they have a country stage or something? One of these days I will make it down to Austin.

Agree with the Emotional Rescue - I do enjoy that song, but I only got through about a minute of the LA debut and I had to turn it off. (Lefsetz is a douche)

Yeah - I am hoping that they will release a bunch of $85 tickets closer to the show dates - the prices are ridiculous.

Just heard the Promised Land on the radio - sounded good, never heard Jerry sound so much like Chuck before (tone wise). Like Pigpen's simple organ riffs, too. Saw this cd and record at the store last weekend, but did not get either.

Only an audience recording of the Chicago 5/12 is out there. I do have some of the 5/13 Chicago show, it was bonus disc to the Winterland 77 shows. Beside that, I did not have any of the shows - of course that changed yesterday. Probably will listen to them and decide if I want to purchase the set.

Going to Chicago....what to do, see, stay, etc.

So, did you enjoy Chicago, Shug? -
Think I enjoy the Fox Theater, St. Louis, MO 2/2/70 show better on Dave's Picks Vol. 6 - I think TC overplays on the Fillmore Auditorium, San Francisco, CA 12/20/69 show and I don't think he was a good fit on the newer material (Cumberland, Speedway, Uncle, & High Time). I haven't gotten to the Bonus disc, yet.

I enjoy that REM one, too.

Only listened to the St. Louis show - think it's good, esp. Jerry's playing.

Thanks for the review - a very decent recording of the show popped up. It's up at Dime a Dozen if you are interested. Even can hear the train whistles and sirens.... -
Were you able to get any pics? Enjoy the show?

That's kinda hard to believe that Dylan's camp signed off on that. Maybe he's softening up in his old age - he definitely ain't getting any prettier, though.

They only post I like in this thread.

Fleetwood Mac-Mick Fleetwood does not play alone
calvino replied to worldrecordplayer's topic in Someone Else's Song
I think Stewart was always "on-stage" when he played - tucked in the piano section, but clearly visible --- He may have not have been introduced all the time, but I think that his own doings - he did not want to be introduced. -
Fleetwood Mac-Mick Fleetwood does not play alone

As I wrote Blondie Chaplin plays off stage (at times) - also it has been mentioned that Pierre De Beauport (Keith's guitar tech) plays at times --- I have never "seen" that - I know Pierre is credited on some studio records as "guitar player". And like Jules - I spotted Blondie behind the piano riser at the United Center. Also good point, Bosco, regarding Bralove - I thought of him earlier. I always thought Healy just like f'ing with Weir vocals and that's it. -
It's up on their website, too --- that's a bummer. http://furthur.net/

Fleetwood Mac-Mick Fleetwood does not play alone
calvino replied to worldrecordplayer's topic in Someone Else's Song
Blondie Chaplin plays (or at least use to) guitar quite a bit off stage with the Stones. Chaplin is introduced as a singer and does sometimes play on stage with his guitar, but at times when he is playing guitar, he is off stage, or behind the piano riser. I am not a big fan of this type of set up, either. -
Yeah an "aw-shucks". Glad it all appears to be okay. Looking forward to the next Dave's Pick installment - haven't gotten a shipping email, yet. Lastly, happy 4/29/71 - my first tape (I believe). (oddly enough, my 13th wedding aniversy, too).

Ok, maybe you can take a break for that. I did read that Weir left in a ambulance. And yes, Lammy - he definitely is a busy dude. Gans always says he got (kids) college tuitions to pay off.
