Well if that doesn't get you in the holiday spirit, I don't know what will.

Agree, esp. about the keyboards on this song...at times keyboards gets lost in the mix when you are at the show.

Love the ending of BBN..

no video here, which is fine.

It's just the audio feed, right? There is no video feed on my computer.

A Thread for Musical Blasphemy you Truly Believe
calvino replied to hardwood floor's topic in Someone Else's Song
Not too sure this is blasphemy in the least. -
Joe Perry Project played the above two songs the night Tyler did his cameo.

Someone at Best Buy must've messed up on the pricing

I was thinking the same thing while I was reading that thread earlier today. While we are talking about Coltrane sets, I think I revisit Coltrane's Complete Vanguard Shows the most. Great set. allmusic link We should change the title of this thread to simply John Coltrane. Just a thought. -

Complete Quartet Impulse Recordings Allmusic entry The quartet plays on A Love Supreme and the above set is the complete quartet recordings on Impulse. Definitely worth the purchase. -
from Sun-Times gossiper Bill Zwecker When will bands learn...I guess that's why some performers just put their spouses/significant others in their band. Imagine if Twitter was around during the Beatles break-up.

As Analogman mentioned earlier, there is guy posting all the 71 shows over on bt.etree (he is up to the August shows). I am looking forward to those Keith fall shows, since I have only heard a few of them.

Saw him open up for Steve Earle this past summer- great set.

Best box sets/live albums/retrospectives of the decade
calvino replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song
I checked the Thrill Jockey site - and it is out of stock. It wasn't all that much money (compared to other box sets). It is a great set, hopefully they will produce more. -
That's one thing I like about the "new" way. It's nice coming home from a show and not smelling like an ashtray.

Do you mean's Dylan's Modern Times? I hate putting things in lists, but if forced I would put Love and Theft before Modern Times. It's great to see Modern Times in your top five, though.

I had that problem with a lot of Stones' songs. Now it's a bit easier looking up the lyrics on the internet. I have to listen the Phish show again to find out, my guess is they "mumbled" their way through it like Jagger did.

Prefix Wilco/Tortoise Review I was just in the 10 Best Albums Resulting from Uncle Tupelo Breakup thread and clicked on the Wilco/Tortoise UIC review on the Prefixmag page. Never heard of the term before yesterday and I though I was up to date on my Tortoise reviews. I have never seen that term applied to Tortoise before. I guess I must be behind in "critic speak".

Yikes.

Thanks for the link. I thought it sounded pretty cool when I heard it on Halloween. It nice to see the video. I can't figure out what song Tweedy was playing, though...

The Exile set is pretty damn good. The back up singers and horns are great, esp. on Shine A Light. Worth the download. Z-Man's source on Etree sounds nice. I think it sounds better then the XM feed.

Dylan's band does another verse from another Waits song. Perhaps they are going through his catalog one verse at a time.

Completely agree.
