At the end of the day I think Dylan is just a fan like any other music fan who is interested in the history of some his favorite musicians. In Chronicles he goes on and on about his influences. Sure he is Dylan, but I think he was Dylan the music fan before he was Dylan the songwriter. Listening to his radio show you can sense that he really digs the roots/history of music.

I went to the Lucero show last night and the bass player gave a shout out to Dickinson. I am not familiar enough with Lucero to write what song he dedicated to Dickinson. I did read yesterday that Dickinson produced at least one of their records, so I was hoping that they would mention his passing. It was a great show.

I kinda have to agree with you, here. I can understand Lane playing with them, though at times his playing does grate on my ears, but couldn't they have found a different guitar player. I only saw DSO once in the late 90's so I do not know much about his playing, but I would have thought they could have gotten any number of other guitar players. It is a great gig for Kadlecik, though. Kudos for him.

My first date with my wife was a double feature at a drive-in with some other friends. We brought in some rum and cokes. The double feature was Striptease and The Rock. We all were glad we brought the rum and cokes. My favorite movie is The Hustler. I stand by it as the best, too. What the hell.

Unbelievable collection of music.

I was able to make it to the Terrapin Station shows. It was a very festive weekend. It was my first Dead related show since 1995 and I was just happy to be there and see the guys play again. The first show, though I had a lawn ticket, I was able to get down to first 15 or so rows and sat with some very nice people who had everything one can possibly imagine. The whole weekend was a bit like that. It was a very long few days. I thought the playing was great. It was nice to see Hunter play, though I must admit his solo playing is not my cup of tea. Yeah, I tried tuning in last night but I couldn't get the stream. I'll try remember to bump it. Can't you guys be online while you do the show or does she tape the show, then the station puts it up?

Definitely one of the cooler things I read about in a while. It's great that it is free, too. It would be nice to have him bring it on the road, but I assume the would bring expense, thus eliminating the free status. I would gladly spend money to looking through the stuff, though. Perhaps this will start a trend with other artist.

Fine by shed standards. Better than the place outside Chicago, at least (though that is not saying much). Saw them play there when the opened for REM 'in 99(?). That was great show. I'm assuming Nudie suits all around, for Farm Aid.
