Got it, now. Thanks.

Not really sure what the above means??? It looks like amazon took down the samples.

At least one more is planned: I also found this a bit funny, usually directors encourage anyone to see their film: http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2009/09/16/behind-neil-young-trunk-show-director-demme-on-capturing-a-legend-in-new-film/

"President Obama doesn't care about jackasses."

Yeah, plus I think Kanye needs to stay away from the sauce. At least for a little while. Perhaps Barack can have a beer, the other two can have a Diet Coke (or which ever corporate drink they represent, via commercials.) -
Finally an interview that Jeff Tweedy/Wilco was not brought up. Thanks for the link.

Now I remember why I was an independent all those years.

I walked past a tea party going on at Millennium Park (Downtown, Chicago) this afternoon. Around hundred people or so. No protesters, or at least I did not notice any. They had a little stage set up and I did over hear a lady who was giving a speech to the crowd: while talking about Chicago, she stated that we all were in the "belly of the devil". -
Rolling Stones to reissue Get Your Ya Ya's Out
calvino replied to Col. Hapablap's topic in Someone Else's Song
I am more excited about the inclusion of the B.B King and Turner sets than the five extra songs by the Stones. I will probably end up purchasing it, however I wish there was more Stone's extras. -

Really dig the picture of Tony Iommi's guitar/fingers. I think there will be few more people on this board who will chime in.

I am sure you already saw this, Louie... http://leisureblogs.chicagotribune.com/turn_it_up/2009/09/bloodshot-records-celebrates-15-years-an-interview-with-coowners-rob-miller-and-nan-warshaw-.html I thought the below was interesting. Also, you gotta love the H.L. Mencken quote that Bloodshot has on top of their website.

Suppose you need "rehab", too.

Another Reason to like Justin Townes Earle
calvino replied to Normal Illinois's topic in Someone Else's Song
The only time I saw Justin perform was in 2001 at the Riviera when he opened up for his dad. I was pretty amazed at his solo performance, especially since he was just still a teenager. Definitely need to see Justin again (and get his new album). -
Looks great.

Saw them open for Lucero a few weeks back. I never listened to them (or Lucero) before. Pretty impressive.

Don't be a such a Scrooge, Louie. At least it's for charity. I guess it's official, Charlie Sexton is rejoining the band. Should be a good thing. http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2009/08/26/bob-dylan-welcomes-guitarist-charlie-sexton-back-into-his-band/

http://blogs.suntimes.com/hoekstra/2009/08/jim_dickinson_takes_a_walk.html Below is a segment from Sun-Times' Dave Hoekstra's piece about Jim Dickinson. I thought it was apt for this thread.
