They don't even offer a discount on the pre-orders, which is fine, but I don't see the point of pre-ordering.

Yeah he is definitely earning his pay, perhaps the Dead can spring for a "body man" to watch his stuff while he is dancing. Of course, Lemieux is not going to be (at least he hasn't thus far) too critical of the band's performances, but there are plenty of other outlets for that on the web.
-
I'm not sure if people here are following David Lemieux reports from the road on dead.net, but it seems someone tried to steal his laptop. His reports have been fun to read. It seems he is updating his blog during the show, which is kinda nice. I wonder if the person knew who's laptop he was stealing. http://www.dead.net/4-15-john-paul-jones-arena

Another installment of the Flanaghan interview. Below is from: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/15/b...r_n_187216.html

The Friday before 4th of July weekend. I think a few people may looking into travel plans and checking into the possiblity of reserving a few near by camp sites.
-
This was brought up in the Dead thread earlier today. Over on a Dylan board, they are angry. I never understood the hate that some Dylan fans have for the Dead. I think it's pretty exciting news.
-
I have not bought a ticket from reseller, either. Ticketstub and Ticketsnow I have heard advertise on the radio (which may not mean much). I haven't heard of ticketsReview.
-
I'm sure the cost of internet resale tickets will come down closer to the show date if they are still available. Right now I only have a ticket for Monday, I may/should have one for Tuesday, but that is still up in the air. So I have been looking at the prices and wondering if I should pull the trigger and just buy a Tuesday ticket, too.

I have only listened to most of the first set. I thought it sounded pretty good. Enough to get me excited about the Chicago dates, agian. It's weird, my excitement level has been up down since they announced the tour. It's good it's on the upswing again. Plus I heard from friends, that I haven't heard from in a while, and they are going to the show, so it will be nice to get together with them again for a Dead show.

Wow, the Hunter news is pretty cool. With regards to Tipper, I believe she just wanted a sticker on a album. I don't know if that is censorship. I am not here defending her, though. Just bringing up a point. I have not listened to her "performance" from last night, yet, so I don't have an opinion her drumming abilities. It's great they got to go to the White House.

Even though the mug may be filled with Pabst (no offense towards the Theater or Pabst lovers out there) And Lou, John seems to be getting a little thin on top. (referring to the Spector thread)

Those prices are ridicules. I was lucky enough to purchase it when it went on sale up on dead.net. It is a limited edition, so obtaining ripped versions only hurts re-sellers, not the Dead organization (my opinion of course). It's a great set of music, but man those prices...

Yeah, he is off to a great start, right where he left off before his injury last year. Today was a bit ugly (Floyd's pitching) but they won and this is pretty cool, too.

Wilco at Brewers game, Jeff throwing out first pitch

Does this make Wilco a Milwaukee band? I am really confused, now. -
For some reason I see Kiss fans throwing fake blood at Seger or worse spitting alcohol fueled fire at him. edit. this isn't to demean Kiss fans. It just seems like a strange double bill.
-
Now that's an interesting bill. What was your's and the rest of the Kiss fans opinion of Seger? I lost my copy of Live Bullet, but I used to listen to the album quite a bit when I was a kid, thanks to my sister. (who was/is a huge Seger fan)

Don't forget the jail system. About half my in-laws work for the state correctional system in one fashion or another. If I had the choice between a Chicago suburb and the Carbondale area, I probably would choose down there. All those things you mentioned above are definitely great activities. We still try to go camping down there at least once or twice a year.

Not to change the subject, but I wish Teenage Fanclub would tour the States a bit more. Never seen them perform before. I didn't get into Nirvana until after he was gone. I was too wrapped up in hippie music while I was in college. Actually I was in my bedroom in my apartment drinking a Rolling Rock and listening music when my roommate came in and told me. I just grabbed another beer out my fridge that I had in my room. I rather like their music, now. I had friends who use to see them when they came through Chicago area and I do regret not seeing them perform when I had the opportunity.
-
Well that does not bode well for his music cred, then. Opening up for Willie Nelson at Massey Hall sounds like a pretty sweet gig to me.
-
Sounds like a great trip. I love "accidentally" fitting in a concert while traveling or vacationing.
-
Well this didn't take long. I love that he was "met with catcalls of 'Here comes the gravy.'" From the AP:

I never heard of the P-Mac store, either. I am assuming it is somewhat new? I need to check it out next time I am in town. I don't think I could handle living down there. It was great while I was at school and it is still great visiting the area on a regular basis, but living down again does not sound appealing, regardless of the cost of living. And yeah if Dr. Wax doesn't get any copies of the Ashes DVD, I guess I going to venture up North. Gonna have to do it early Sat. though; I see the Cardinals are going to be at Wrigley on Sat...I don't like being north of Madison when that happens.,

That's weird. I just looked at my copy of the Winterland set and I don't see Rhino's logo anywhere on the set, while the Terrapin 77 show has a Rhino logo on it. So maybe Rhino is distributing a second run. I don't know, it's a bit confusing to me. I did notice this link http://www.letitbleedbook.com/ on the Rhino page. That would be cool to have. But the price pretty damn steep.
-
It came out last summer. Perhaps they were only selling it on dead.net and the Rhino site up until now. It is definitely easy loosing track of their release, especially since they got involved with Rhino.
