Same for us. Good for them for getting the dough - but we decided to skip it, again.

The earliest blizzard I was remember was 1979 (Chicago). I was in 1st grade --- we lived in a court (P's still live there) --- Had some epic king of the mountain (plowed snow drifts) fun. Just got the robo call that the kid's will be zooming again, tomorrow. 4. 20.3 inches Jan 13-14, 1979

Hitting IL now, seen worse, but bad enough. Another drawback with covid - no snow days for the kiddo's - they just set up zoom and close the schools. Loved snow days, growing up - bummer for them.

Not knowing going in that it kinda had some of the same themes as Looking For Mr. Goodbar, watched Don Juan, or If Don Juan Were a Woman. First Bardot movie for me. It's interesting comparing the two movies.

Thanks for the pics and recap.

Family movie night last night with The Mitchells vs the Machines - entertaining. A nice cleanser between Looking For Mr. Goodbar and starting up Ozark.

Just finished watching this via Hulu --- man, dark is right. Kinda choppy in the storyline - but it works. Didn't realize it was shot in Chicago, until after I watched it. Assumed it was New York City. The ending was interesting --- not knowing the book ---

That was fun.

Exactly --- if the intention was to make people actually think about global warming, etc. while making people laugh - it completely missed the mark for me - the humor, due to the writing, was completely lost on me. (Typically, I enjoy McKay's movies) None of the characters had any redeeming qualities, therefore I couldn't have any empathy for anyone or anything, while watching it.

We watched Don't Look Up --- horrible. We were really rooting for the meteor to hit the earth sooner.

the hole truth (and nothing butt)

The below is great --- I don't know much about them -- but what I do know sounds interesting. Did see them once at the first Lolla in 91. Fun. The definitive documentary that will reveal the hole truth and nothing butt -
It looks like Mick Taylor started to solo a bit and Keith did not like that --- he just wanted to vamp the riff while Jagger sang the "got to roll" bit.

Thanks for the review. Dylan was definitely more active at the Columbus show. The Columbus crowd was great, as well. People were glued to their seats.

The Stones re-released it in the theaters in 2010 - it was cool to see on the big screen. Re-watched during DVD binge, after Charlie passed away.

Never noticed that. Need to rewatch that "Tumbling Dice"

Are you talking about the Ladies and Gentlemen's release?

Curious of your thoughts.

My wife and I were at the September 13, 2003 REM/Wilco show --- great Kicking Television opener. A cold, cold night.

After lurking around for a while, I officially joined in Nov. 2005 ---- I needed to fill in some blanks in my head regarding Tweedy's 11.5.2005 solo show in Madison. That was a fun night. It's been a nice ride on the board, since.

Saw his dad on Saturday night in Columbus, Ohio. Still going strong at 80. 8 new tunes off his latest record. Saturday's show was my 21st and it was definitely the best produced show I seen from Dylan. The lighting was was great. They built up the stage and the band played on a light box, which was used very nicely. Definitely had a 'play-like' production feel.

The latest recored never jumped out at me, I have only listened to it a handful of times, but I glad he is playing 8 of the tunes --- probably would have skipped this tour if he only played 1 or 2. I am curious to see if he keeps playing all 8. While looking for restaurants near the theater, I saw that a place called Ringside Cafe is right around the corner -- opened since 1897. Need to see I can spot a guy with a grey hoodie soaking up the boxing motif ambiance while enjoying a burger and a beer....

Congrats Boss_Tweedy ---- must admit the chop bugs the hell out me, but they had an interesting year and they turned it around the right time. Their front office should get an award for the wonders they did this year, as well as the manager. Congrats.
