Since I work near and eat lunch often at the houston galleria, I'm guessing that there is no way I'm going to be able to avoid hearing some mariah carey christmas song over the next couple of weeks. this makes me sad. I'm not sure there is a pop star who bugs me more. but I'll think about it.

I hope he just plays a long version of "you got lucky" with no dancers or silliness, just the video playing on the jumbo-trons of course, that's not going to happen

it's as good a time as any to rant about the songs you've heard of late that very much annoy you. especially the ones that get stuck in your head when you don't want them to. I don't have any strong feelings about ELO, and I enjoyed their work in xanadu, but that "hold on tight to your dreams" song from that one commercial just finally got to me a few weeks back. it is grounds for immediate channel switching in my home.

I caught this (parts of it) as well over the weekend. The Jeff Beck segment was amazing. Also very much enjoyed the songs winwood sat in for.
