Check out the Fat Possum record label. Full of dirty, raw blues.

That is the best baseball game I've seen in years. This is why post-season baseball is the pinnacle of sports. WOW!

You don't look very happy. Oh, Shea Stadium. Right. Collapse. Historic and all. Sorry.

Beautiful! Congratulations Chuck! (Hug)

Ryan and Mary

Mary, the 18 year-old daughter, and I met Wendy in Kalamazoo Monday night for the Ryan Adams show at the State Theater. We had just seen him Saturday in Ann Arbor. He and the rest of the Cardinals had put on one of the best shows I

Yeah, I was just there Thursday evening and, come to think of it, my corned beef was having trouble keeping its head above the mustard. Wannabe-hippie kids. Sheeeesh!

Saw him at the Gem earlier this summer and my recollection was that they were not allowing taping. Thinking Zingerman's for dinner Tom. Any thoughts? It looks like it'll be a nice night to sit outside.

See you there. I'm in row U. Too bad you can't tape. Well, I'm assuming you can't because the last RA show I attended they were not allowing it.

It's after-the-fact, but you got mine. Hope it went OK.

That was great! Thanks. Thinking about seeing Rollins in Detroit. Sounds like I should. -
Never give up until the final out.

Mike Nolan does not wear a suit well. It looks more like a costume.

Hopefully, Taylor misses a lot of time so I can safely start Peterson in Green's place. Any word?

You mean the guy that left 29 points on his bench? Damn! Yeah, me. I'm still thinking I've got an outside chance tonight. But, then again, I still think Michigan has an outside shot at the Big Ten.

I missed it. Hope your birthday was great! Hell, hope today is great!

1:47 - 1:51 Poor Places. The way he evokes longing when he sings "love" gets me everytime, especially live.

I was at the Fri and Sat Tiger/Mariner games. We looked good. Timo Perez was hitting like Tony Perez. Granderson played like baseball's next superstar. I thought, if he stays a Tiger for his career, he will become this generations Al Kaline, Alan Trammel . . . Then Bonderman goes out and gets crushed and lost for the remainder of the year. Injuries have killed us this year. Momentum has been impossible to generate since the all-star break. Sadly, I agree that the Yankees appear to have th wild card, even though their pitching is terrible. I look for a great championship series betwee

Once upon a time, a decade or so ago, I made my living in, among other places, divorce courts and probate courts (Children Protection proceedings) arguing the "best interests" of minor children. I'd be happy to discuss this with you. PM me if you like.

Hey Johnny, Just catching up with VC and see the celebration of your birthday. CHEERS! See you soon. Chicago next week?

Seen both within the last 6 months. Bright Eyes with the large band and Gillian Welch and David Rawlings as opener. Highlight of that show was Gillian and David joining Conor and then the whole band for a couple of tunes. The Bright Eyes set was average, unless you're a 16 year-old girl, most of whom were unable to contain themselves (actually, that was pretty entertaining). Ryan Adams and the Cardinals was an excellent show. Most of the set was from ET, CR, JCN, 29 and LIH. One of the tightest, well-performed shows I've seen. I think you made the right choice.

Happy birthday Paul. See you at a show soon.

Although I have no formal training in conditions requiring treatment with SSRIs, I do have personal and job-related experience that is relevant. Without going into great detail, I have come to believe that our society and, more specifically, the medical community, overtreats with medication. I don't believe that a treatment which merely masks the underlying problem and creates a false sense of well-being is appropriate or beneficial. In many cases where a suffering person is prescribed SSRIs, the depression is caused by errant self-perception or an inablility to respond to people, places

Carol, my sister, made some peach cobbler last week. Fresh out-of-the-oven with vanilla ice cream. Deeeelightful!
