  1. How bout that homeless guy on Granville Street who told me his guitar case was the most expensive guitar case in the entire city? Surely that's more of a Wonder then a canoe. EDIT: Or Luongo. EDIT 2: Actually, how about all the red pine trees, that the federal government doesn't seem to care about, in the interior of BC (and Alberta now). Surely an entire province with red trees is a Wonder.
  2. On third listen there's parts of this record I don't like (as with every Stripes album) but the majority of it is really good. I never got why everyone hated Get Behind Me Satan, it's still probably my favorite by them.
  3. A Martyr For My Love For You is my favorite upon first listen.
  4. Ah! This leaked. Finally! This will hold me over till the new Ryan Adams leaks which will hold me till the new Iron & Wine leaks.
  5. Also Frank Black & The Catholics - Show Me Your Tears, is a really fucking awesome country record.

  9. Yes, I am not denying that, but Elliott Smith was very influenced by The Beatles, especially in the chords he played. I'm not saying that any particular Elliott Smith songs sound like any particular Beatle songs, all I'm saying is that, if you're going to say the chords in Please Be Patient With Me are Elliott Smithesque then you have to acknowledge that the chords Elliott Smith played are very Beatleesque. I have no clue what you just said.
  10. Very Elliott Smith style chords = very Beatle style chords.
  11. I think Jeff should talk about his experiences however and whenever he wants. It's his life. Let him do what he wants.
  12. You're the same age as my dad. Unfortunately as a result of this I was -20 when Peppers was released. I always say that, 1950, as a music fan, would probably be the best year to be born.
  13. Ohh, this is very interesting stuff, thanks for posting it.
  14. Wow. Guess I know what I'm going to be listening on my way to school.
