  1. ________(birthday girl) Do you know what a gentleman says when he is satified? (the b'day girl answers) No Well I didn't think you would...
  2. Maybe, but I'm one too... Hope it's all worth it in the end... Maybe we'll all win something from the giveaways...
  3. That's kool Analogman... I got 7 out of 10 and i shouldn't have missed them but I wasn't thinking...
  4. Take The Neil Test Don't know if anyone is interested or posted before, but if you'd like to test your Neil knowledge give it a try.... Just for fun...
  5. No, I'm waiting for you (the new wilco album can come through the mail sooner, rather than May?)
  6. I second that Walken!! Some southern US dates to sink my teeth into... Seems like it's going to be a long summer waiting for the shows in the states... But atleast by then I'll have SBS
  7. I agree with ya LouieB, a new album from Wilco is exciting!! I've kinda listened to a couple songs, not the whole album, not yet... I wanta be able to pop it in the player and head out on down the road... People need to have faith in "the boys" We all get to have opinions, but it amazes me that so many expects Wilco to be what they want, not what the band wants to be... If a band makes a record I would think it's something they wanted... I'll just wait until May 15th and enjoy the songs and work on a new "wish list" for the next show...
  8. velocity253, no, I don't think it's dumb.... Watching Forrest Gump the other day and at the very end where the little boy gets on the bus and Forrest Sr. is sitting there until the bus comes home, one lonely leaf floats down... made me think of the line... "all the fallen leaves"... just kinda a sweet thought... Listening to the kids discuss the song... as Americans we still have the freewill to think differently...
  9. Thanks so much for sharing all this!! It is great!!
  10. Well guess most of us will have to wait until May to listen... "Presence of a great album?" Would you tell us what you consider to be "greatness?" If the "band" is happy with it, I'm sure "us" fans are going to love it...
  11. Boys please remember the South... Huntsville at the VBC was fun... or Athens, GA? or somewhere within drivin' distance...
  12. Yes, seriously... The parts I was part of was filmed out in a little town in Georgia, Crawfordville.... One day we had a tornado warning and had to go into this one building and then they moved us... It was extremely hot, typical Georgia weather... I know my feet hurt so bad from walking up and down the sidewalk... You can catch two glimpes of me, once at the train behind the older lady, never can remember her name... Then all of us walking to the train... The church scenes I didn't get to do (my real job got in the way) It was fun and an experience... There isn't anything as good looking a
  13. So hard to pick just one... Can't go wrong with a live record... so KT is a keeper... Each album has it's own personality.... Listening to recent live shows (or being there personally) And then listening to say, AM, BT or ST, makes me say, "damn that's a good record"... Then listening to say, AGIB or YHF, makes me say, "damn this band just gets better"... MM1&2, now I just love these, the music put to these lyrics, I believe Woody would be honored... Oh, I guess for me I can't pick "one" right now... ST seems to be spinning a good bit in the player for "now"...
  14. Sometimes I wished I lived in Spain... I see Wilco is playing there May/June... Drivin' n' Cryin is playing there March... (not sure of others, but there must be, right... Must be a fun place to visit and play rock n' roll...
  15. Thanks, I will look up Arcade Fire and see if I like them...
  16. Now don't be mean, but is Neon Bible the name of the band or a record? I don't know and was wondering, seems alot of ya'll like'em off topic... I did extras on a movie called "Neon Bible" back in the 90's, that's why I read the topic...
  17. I'd thought maybe this also... I love this song, I love Nels solo guitar work, but I would also love to hear JT play it solo... I relate this song so far to when I did time in a Rehab... Some funny thoughts and some sad, but in the end, the song for me touches my heart... It also makes me wonder about people in general, everyday life, how people handle it....
  18. Now, now... You must have faith... I could think of worst songs that was written... I hope when you get the new record you'd change ya mind... Ya'll be kind here... but IMO, only mine... I don't like "Shot In The Arm"... not that it's a bad song, everybody seems to really like it, which I do love the last line of the song... Maybe it's just the words hit to close to home for me to like it...
  19. I have wondered about On&On, at the show(s) it sounded like a beautiful ballet, but not fully complete... I'm looking forward to the ones I haven't heard yet and the final cuts to the ones I have listened too... I'm sure we are all gonna enjoy and be surprised... Just May seems so lonnnnnnnnnnng away...
  20. That would be kool, but guess I have to stick with the oven for now...
  21. Hey my mama is great at reel to reel, cassettes and vinyl... It sounds crazy, but it works... Depends on how priceless that certain vinyl is to you as to the trouble of making it play again... Qtips will work on most but some skips "a.k.a. a deep gash" the needle will take it out... That advice on warped vinyl maybe crazy, but it does work... but easy to ruin also... Like you said LouieB..."it is nothing more than a piece of plastic"... I've seen both things work before... but risky either way...
  22. Yes part of the charm of vinyl... Tell ya what my mama does with vinyl... It takes a steady hand tho... Using a sewing needle (a small one and then a larger one, not gaint ones) Put the turntable on the slowest speed... Take the needle and go through every groove... It will help to take out some of the noises and works also on taking out skips, However it does take time and a steady hand...
  23. Thanks folks... I guess I'll take my chances next show... Maybe Jay won't be in a bad mood, I can hope, right? I use to like David Allen Coe, but as he has aged he has become a dickhead... Maybe "unfriendly" wasn't the right word, but he does seem reserved... To bad (for me)SV and Jason isn't closer to the south... maybe they will play some more shows later in the year... The good thing about a New Year is "we" or "I" get to start all over with the shows... You have the winter shows, then spring w/ festivals and the summer w/coastal shows and then fall w/ more festivals... sorry, i'm
