  1. from Pitchfork: Tweedy and Oldham. I may hurl with joy!!!!!!!
  2. Yeah, that is the high point of the new EP. We had a brief 90s revival at work the other day and played Dirt. I really loved that album.
  3. wilco name only or including uncle tupelo, side projects, solo things etc?
  4. It's actually King Khan and BBQ Show that are playing, and I will be there, because I also LOVE the Busy Signals and Johnny and the Limelites
  5. Gods yeah, there is no way I would pay $50 for ANYTHING there. I have never enjoyed a show there. I keep trying.
  6. I like the psychedelic stuff, haven't really explored out of the 60s yet. Sounds interesting though.
  7. Yes, that's right, an independent record store is celebrating 10 years and not planning on going anywhere. I have been employed there for 4 years living out my retail fantasy job, having the best time of my life. Saturday November 17, 2007! 9 pm, $9 Miss Alex White and the Red Orchestra (For real awesome garage guitar punk rock) Vee Dee (Apocalyptic psychedelic punk-rock with a Wilco crew member on drums!) Adam Fitz and the Part-Timers (guy who kinda sounds like Ray Lamontagne and is opening for Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings sold out Park West show a mere 2 days before!) Myself and

  10. This is going to look like shameful promoting of my friend's music but hear me out. I get a voicemail from La* one day, who is out shopping, and I hear this singer in the background and she says "It sounds like they are playing Adam Fitz!" No, it was Ray Lamontagne! The similarities are a little weird, but certainly not intentional. If you are so inclined, check him out: http://www.myspace.com/adamfitz He's opening for Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings here in Chicago.
  11. OMG!! the resemblance is uncanny!!!
  12. This gets my vote. One of my senior quotes was "I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all".
  13. Yeah, I will only gripe about the super long drawn out songs at the end. That's why I didn't go to the long show, so that was a little bit of a downer. I could have done without Chimbley Sweep, Perfect Crime 2 and Cautionary Song, and the dance contest, historical reenactment, etc.

  15. Yeah, I would not refer to Nels Cline as "its".
  16. I've heard this might be its last tour.
  17. the show tonight was great, the dancefloor afterwards was ridiculous. I highly recommend anyone go. I
